Once you watch Claude or some other LLM do a task that used to take you 3 hours in the span of just 3 minutes, all work starts to lose its purpose
Have been hearing the same sentiment from many of my friends in middle management across tech, finance and other office jobs
All the years of experience you culminated at your field suddenly seems useless
You used to feel valued for your expertise in a niche domain, but that knowledge has now become commoditized
You begin to wonder how many more months until upper management and executives realize that they don’t need to pay your salary anymore
Maybe they can replace you fully. Maybe they can hire someone for 50% of the cost to do the same task with an AI
It is the impending sense of doom and despair. The loss of purpose from your life’s work disappearing losing value in front of your eyes
Truly an incredible time to be alive

Projects now run from one conversation, starting in Claude Code. You describe what needs doing, and Claude directs parallel threads that keep working after you close your laptop.
In beta today for select Pro and Max users in cloud sessions; coming to all Claude users soon.

We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so.
Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training.

One hormone. Every symptom. ONE Simple Fix:
1. Lower it upstream and overnight

Your brain deletes most of your ordinary days. It keeps almost every minute of a night alone in a foreign city. What's happening there is actually one of the more beautiful things about how your nervous system works.
Your brain is a prediction machine. When it can predict everything, like your commute, your kitchen, your same six streets, it stops recording. That's why whole months at home just vanish. But put yourself somewhere it can't predict anything and the system flips. Every sign, every smell, every crosswalk registers as new information. Dopamine tags all of it as worth keeping. This is why one week abroad feels longer in memory than a month at home. Your brain literally kept more of it.
The second thing happening is quieter. At home, some part of you is always tracking how you're being perceived. Your boss, your friends, the people who knew you at 22. In a city where nobody knows your name, that entire system goes offline.
And when it goes offline, the bandwidth doesn't disappear. It gets redirected inward.
That's the "realizing how far you've come" part. Your brain is finally recording again, the self-monitoring is off, and you're far enough away from your life to see the whole shape of it at once.
You spend years too close to your own life to see it. Then one night you're crossing a street on the other side of the world, and you finally have enough distance to look.

Personally, I’d add bromantane and semax to the upper-right quadrant too.

This chart is a digitally altered version of a chart from a 2022 Reddit nootropics rating survey. It has added numerous nonsensical nootropics and has repositioned real nootropics that were included in the original survey.

I asked Astra to create a Catan game in three.js and it came out incredibly well.
I played it, and the animations make it so much fun. The instructions and info cards make the game easy to learn. It even has AI players and trading.
Astra used another game I had started building as a reference. The more games I build, the more skills and assets I have for the next one. It can remix the UI, 3D models, pages, and sounds instead of rebuilding everything.
Now I want to see how many other board games I can make from this foundation.
