Last night was one of the worst nights Gaza has seen. The bombs have never stopped raining down on them, and when the actual rain fell upon them, their tents flooded. So many missing limbs, all missing loved ones, most without homes. And the world just pretended it stopped. I didn’t even post an image with people this time because they’re sick of showing us images of themselves in desperation without action on our part. A reminder to you and me to not forget them because they’re no longer in your feed.

Isn’t it so dystopian that people in Gaza are struggling to find food shelter and even the basic necessities to survive while billionaires exist with more wealth than they could ever spend in several lifetimes? The contrast is genuinely sickening

A Palestinian young man sits under heavy rain and freezing cold in the Gaza Strip, wiping away tears that blend with the raindrops as he faces the remains of his tent, flooded and destroyed by torrential rain. Having lost his last shelter, his heartbreaking situation reflects the suffering of displaced Palestinians struggling to survive the harsh winter amid dire humanitarian conditions.

A displaced woman in the Gaza port camp, west of Gaza City, pleads for anyone with a conscience to save her family after heavy rain flooded her tent and the tents around it on November 7, 2026, soaking the few mattresses and belongings she had left. Across the port area, hundreds of families were forced out of their flooded tents before dawn with nowhere dry to go. This is the fourth winter Gaza’s displaced have spent in tents. The Israeli occupation destroyed their homes and the drainage networks that once carried rainwater away, and a year into the ceasefire it still restricts the entry of tents, tarps, caravans and building materials. Around 162,000 tents in Gaza need replacing, and the winter supplies aid agencies have on hand cover only about 18 percent of families in need.

This is the worst morning ever. No one in Gaza City slept last night. The rain completely flooded the tents, soaking mattresses and destroying families' belongings. We are underwater.
Thousands of families have been trying for hours to save what little they have left, with nowhere dry to go.

2166 distress calls have been received in the Gaza Strip due to the low-pressure weather system, and the Civil Defense is unable to respond to most of them due to the scale of the disaster and the lack of resources.
