Will blake2b succeed?
I lived through the 2009 financial crisis and I remember the anger and frustration with the gov and the financial industrial complex. Everyone seems to have forgotten about why Bitcoin came into existence because we're all focused on NGU and wizard pics.

Major green flags in a Senior engineer:
1/ asks "what problem are we solving?" before "which tool?"
2/ rolls back first, debugs second
3/ writes the runbook nobody asked for
4/ says "I don't know yet" without losing the room
5/ deletes more code than they add some weeks
6/ explains trade-offs without making anyone feel stupid
7/ reviews PRs like they'll be on-call for them
8/ makes the juniors around them better
9/ estimates before building
10/ owns the outage, shares the credit

This guy re-created all the adobe apps with opus-5.5, ported them to rust, and opensourced them
something really cool is happening
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
These projects are partial open-source Rust reimplementations of Adobe apps (built rapidly with AI agents), not complete recreations; their READMEs and roadmaps document many missing features and features still in development.

Everyone else: “holy shit, how?”
AI lab: “well technically the containment had a route to the internet and we gave the model hacking tasks.”
Fucking incredible.

Would be interesting to know the result of this vote.
Considering that it effectively decided the fate of BIP-110, it’s strange that they didn’t choose transparency…
FOUNDRY ASKS MINERS TO VOTE ON BIP-110 SIGNALING
Foundry USA Pool has begun asking its mining customers how the pool should signal on BIP-110.
According to an email sent to pool account owners, votes are weighted by each participant’s average 10-day hashrate.
Foundry says it will follow the majority of hashrate votes during the signaling period. If more than 51% of voting hashrate supports BIP-110, the pool says it will signal “Yes” with 100% of its blocks. If a majority opposes it, the pool will not signal support.
The move is notable because Foundry is the world’s largest Bitcoin mining pool by hashrate.
Rather than taking a position itself, the pool is allowing its miners to collectively determine how it votes, giving customers a direct role in one of Bitcoin’s most closely watched governance debates.
