Things are starting to click together with @AmpCode for me now. Integrated Amp into Slack, which allows me to spawn new work directly in threads. I also love that you get a view on cost per thread - really helps understand the cost of delivering functionality.
An enjoyable weekend flight around Fife - nothing quite like the feeling of looking out across the world in a tiny aircraft.
My first experience with @AmpCode was signing in with ChatGPT, letting it use that subscription, doing 1 task and seeing "No usage available" - turns out it was using Anthropic, try to disable, still can't get it to stop using Anthropic? So confused...
It’s been super useful to have my Dot helping me on this trip, I’ve been travelling across 5 US states, numerous cities, flying, driving. I asked it whether I’d have to check my bag, and keep an eye on my flight, so I have a plan when I land to get food and be at the right gate
I've never been so productive. Looking forward to seeing what new things I can play with at the OpenAI DevDay tomorrow!
Flying out to SF this morning! Really looking forward to learning what OpenAI has been cooking at DevDay!
During a VC pitch in London, we were at the final stage of raising a series A and just had to “pitch to the partners”. During that meeting, the key partner began playing with a beer mat, flipping it, and then started balancing it on his nose/face. No one said anything. Crazy! 🤪
I was once pitching in a board room at a top 3 VC firm for a $15M Series A.
12 people in the meeting. One of the GPs fully fell asleep. Out cold for 30+ minutes. Nobody acknowledged it. Everyone just kept going.
I kept presenting my Series A slides to an unconscious man in a Herman Miller chair and somehow that was considered normal. That's venture capital.
You might fly across the country to perform for people who may or may not be conscious.
It's a dance.
And sometimes you lead and sometimes you follow and sometimes your partner is unconscious.
If you're raising right now, just know: every founder has a story like this. The process is weird. The power dynamic is weird. You're not crazy for thinking it's weird.
No one talks about it because they want to continue raising. But I'm happy to stick my neck out there.
It is weird.
Another example of long running agents working on a complex problem - the world of software development is changing fast!
New Engineering blog: We tasked Opus 4.6 using agent teams to build a C compiler. Then we (mostly) walked away. Two weeks later, it worked on the Linux kernel.
Here's what it taught us about the future of autonomous software development.

.@taylorotwell is there a way to get access to the beta of the AI SDK? Can’t seem to find a GitHub repo etc but potentially just not looking in the right place…
Some good thoughts in this - especially in regards to @openclaw which regardless of your view on has given us all a glimpse into just how powerful agents can be...
This x100 it’s getting silly having a folder for each CLI!
The concept of describing software in English (via md files), and leaving the implementation up to an LLM is super interesting - especially for lots of the smaller libraries we all end up shipping in our applications. @dbreunig recent article is though provoking!
Replying to @airesearch12
💯 @ Spec-driven development
It's the limit of imperative -> declarative transition, basically being declarative entirely.
Relatedly my mind was recently blown by dbreunig.com/2026/01/08/a-so… , extreme and early but inspiring example.
I’m enjoying @conductor_build, but I didn’t think I would. It does a good job of making you feel in control, and informed, and has some IDE like tools - but the work is getting done by agents with tight integration with Github. Try it!
The Isometric NYC project by @_coenen is so cool! I also love the detail he has provided about how he used AI to build it, especially the images. Lots of great lessons in there!
Here's the app: cannoneyed.com/isometric-nyc… - the tech detail can be found in the help icon top right!
2 ways to improve your life if you use an iPhone:
1. Go into "Screen Capture" settings, turn off "Full-Screen Previews"
2. Go into "Safari" settings, change your Tabs from "Compact" to "Bottom" - no more extra tap to see all tabs
Fascinating deep-dive on browser sandboxing for AI agents by @Paul_Kinlan. The double iframe technique — an outer frame sets CSP policy, inner frame holds untrusted content — is how you build a "policy firewall" for LLM output. No VMs needed.
