BREAKING: MIT just completed the first brain scan study of ChatGPT users & the results are terrifying. Turns out, AI isn't making us more productive. It's making us cognitively bankrupt. Here's what 4 months of data revealed: (hint: we've been measuring productivity all wrong)

There are heaps of examples that have shown improvements in NYC traffic since the toll. Fewer cars. More riding the bus. Quieter. Safer. Cleaner. But that's going to be thrown away, for one man's ego? Sad.
While questions are being raised about New York’s congestion pricing toll scheme, our 2025 Traffic Index ranked NYC as the slowest moving city in North America. bit.ly/4gIXx7u #congestionpricing #NewYork #TomTom

theverge.com/cars/613962/bme… Skip over the marketing and we realize that this is what carmakers will have to do to differentiate their vehicles from the competition.

There's all this chat about software defined vehicles, which is both very specific and very vague at the same time. But this offers some clarity into the spectrum of how software defines vehicles.

Cars being produced to a budget, will go for the budget option. Off the shelf software, that provides a safe and predictable experience. Marques that have a brand and experience to uphold simply must go bespoke, innovate and develop tech that redefines their driving experience.

Google Maps will start showing the Gulf of America instead of the Gulf of Mexico Google said Monday it will change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to “Gulf of America” in Google Maps after the Trump administration updates its “official government sources.” The company also said it will start using the name “Mount McKinley” for the mountain in Alaska currently called Denali.

Bloody hell, I remember that. Specifically, HOURS sitting in a recording studio listening to Jeremy reading out all the instructions. But seller is talking shit about why it wasn't on sale for long. It was because BBC hadn't approved and it broke rules about commercial tie-ins.

This is a costly endeavor. But if you don't have access to quality map data from a multitude of sources... it'll be a reality for a while to come. Apple's going the course alone in mapmaking, and will no doubt, come up against more challenges like this. 9to5mac.com/2024/02/20/apple…

TomTom still uses MoMa cars as part of a much larger, and constantly growing, network of sources that come from open data, partners, communities and beyond. Reality is it takes a lot of people coming together to map accurately and consistently. tomtom.com/newsroom/behind-t…
