Had the strangest dream. Woke up and @RobertDowneyJr had helped me to #clearthelists and then had come to school to surprise us with the supplies. So I’m putting the positive energy into the world and maybe it’ll happen 🤪 amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/17…

When you see an Amazon wishlist for an underfunded TX classroom, tag @GovAbbott or his office on whatever social platform it’s on. Small voices can affect big change when united. #txed #WeLeadTX

Teaching middle school doesn’t just require a special license; it also requires a pretty unique person who has to be ready for anything.

I’m a Christian and my birthday is literally on 12/25 and yet I would *never* even *consider* putting up Christmas decorations in my classroom?? I can’t believe it’s 2022 and I’m still seeing 1) teachers doing that and 2) other teachers making posts on why you shouldn’t!!

We've all been there...parent/teacher conferences. They can either feel incredibly successful, crazy stressful, or totally bomb. I've partnered with four other educators who I admire greatly to bring you a FREE webinar Sign up: event.webinarjam.com/registe… #KidsDeserveIt #Webinar
My classroom. I teach 8th grade & my largest class has 38 students. We need 9 more desks. Eight, if my co-teacher gives up their seat. But where do those desks go? Even then, the county is less than half vaccinated. Masks are optional. Windows don't open. How is this a plan?

SCHOOL ADMINS: We teachers are starting the school year broken. I know you know this because we haven’t been quiet about it. We do not need new software or literacy training this year. We don’t need to analyze data. We just need time to plan, heal, and teach.

Check out the latest episode of Faces, our video series that celebrates the District’s diversity! This is our 3rd installment. It shows how Dr. Nida Saeed is developing compassionate citizens who are culturally aware and embrace differences.
I'm attending Beyond the Mean: Not Your Average PD Summer 2021. RT if you think others will find this helpful 🙌 beyond-the-mean-not-your-ave…

This pandemic has forced me to realize that 90% of my social life was just meeting up with friends to eat 😭

The teachers that every other teacher texts at the last minute asking, “How were we supposed to do this?” are the ones who need to become principals 😂

Seventh grader: "The way I see it, the pandemic can be broken down into 3 parts: Part one, when we all thought everything would go back to normal any day, Part two, when we accepted that normal wasn't happening and looked for different ways to see our friends, and February."
