Most people set up their Klever Wallet and never think about their seed phrase again. That is a mistake. Your seed phrase is the only thing that truly proves ownership of your funds. Not your phone. Not your email. Not Klever support. Just those 12 or 24 words.
If you lose access to your device, your seed phrase is how you recover everything. But here is the part most people skip: after writing it down, they never verify it actually works. Test your backup before you need it. Restore to a second device or the Klever app itself.
How to verify your backup safely: write down your phrase on paper, then use the Import Wallet option in a fresh Klever install. If your wallet loads correctly, your backup is solid. If not, you find out now, not when it is too late.
One more thing worth knowing: Klever support will never ask for your seed phrase. Not in a ticket, not in a DM, not ever. If someone does ask, stop the conversation immediately. Protecting your phrase is the single most important habit in self-custody crypto.
