Ideal situation for Yaiba #06, with Takeshi Maenami key animating the whole episode. There's no sense of incongruity with the show as a whole because, as main animator & co-designer, he substantially defined its style. And somehow, no holding back despite those responsibilities

Perfect example of how important rhythm is in a choreographed action scene Lately, some shows use irl references from renowned live-action directors but these tend to fall flat because they precisely ignore that animation isn't about accuracy but rather the illusion of a concept
