"CONMEBOL and the Argentine FA rejected this idea because it would give Spain national football team home advantage, which goes against the contract that says the match must be played at a neutral venue. They asked for another stadium because the game is important for the preparation of the Argentina national football team before the World Cup.
"Argentina also said they have an offer to ply a friendly against the Serbia national football team in Europe, showing they have no problem playing there. But UEFA replied that the Serbia friendly cannot be approved on such short notice and instead proposed playing Spain in Italy on March 27 or March 29.
"Because of this, the Argentine FA asked to move the Finalissima to March 31 in Italy so the team can have more training days. A final answer is still pending, but Italy is now the most likely venue if the match is played on March 31." 🔍
