We don't have to figure out what is going on. That's what the 1st 4 years was. We don't have to figure out what to do about it, that's what the last 4 years was. If you want a time frame for how fast it will happen. The midterms are less than 2 years away. Now you know

JK Rowling. What a hero she is. She even bends over backwards to be kind to those poor deluded freaks who seem honestly to believe they really are women. But she rightly goes after those in positions of influence who “behaved as though women’s rights were out-dated and even meaningless. They created a climate of fear and intimidation whereby a single misplaced pronoun could see a woman disciplined.”

I do believe they are going to deeply regret stealing the previous election from @realDonaldTrump because this would not play out this way if he had his 2nd consecutive term.

Bye bye @PlanetFitness
🚨 PATHETIC: A Planet Fitness in Wisconsin just told an American he couldn't wear his ICE jacket in the gym.
He asked the employee straight up on camera: "Supporting ICE, protecting your country is sensitive?"
The answer was "Yes."
Read that again. A gym that calls itself the "Judgment Free Zone" just judged a man for backing the people who enforce our immigration laws. Every other country on earth gets to protect its border, but in America, supporting it is apparently a dress code violation.
Planet Fitness picked its side. Your membership can pick yours.

You've probably seen the video. A young Frenchwoman in Paris, in tears, begging looters to stop. "Why are you doing this? That's not what we stand for."
Some accounts are mocking her. "She voted for it."
I won't. Because what you see on her face is not stupidity. It's a disease that has infected the entire West, and it has a name: suicidal empathy.
The term comes from Gad Saad, an evolutionary behavioral scientist at Concordia University in Montreal. A man who fled the Lebanese civil war as a child, and who knows what it looks like when a society falls apart. His new book, Suicidal Empathy: Dying to Be Kind, is the follow-up to The Parasitic Mind. Here is the thesis, and why it concerns every one of us.
Empathy is one of the best things about us. It evolved for a reason: to care for our children, our kin, our tribe. It was calibrated for a world where the people you felt for were the people around you, and where empathy always came paired with its counterweight: the instinct to protect your own and to recognize a threat.
Suicidal empathy is what happens when that mechanism misfires. When it fires at the wrong targets, in the wrong amounts, with no brake. When we feel more for the criminal than for his victim. More for the stranger who breaks the rules than for the citizen who follows them. More for how compassionate we look than for what our compassion actually produces.
Where does it come from? Four layers.
First, biology. Empathy is a spotlight, as the psychologist Paul Bloom put it. It lights up the one face in front of you and leaves everything else in the dark. The crying migrant on the boat is visible. The thousands of future victims of a broken system are statistics. A spotlight is a terrible tool for running a country.
Second, our own civilization. The West is the civilization that put the victim at the center of its morality. Christianity taught us to care for the stranger, the poor, the weak. It was one of the greatest moral revolutions in history. But cut off from its other half, justice, responsibility, the duty to protect your own, it turns into something else.
Third, ideology. In The Parasitic Mind, Saad described idea pathogens, ideas that hijack our reasoning. Suicidal empathy is the emotional counterpart: an ideology that hijacks our compassion. It sorts the world into oppressors and victims, then demands unlimited empathy for whoever ranks as the victim, whatever they do.
Fourth, status. In the age of social media, empathy has become a display. Posting "refugees welcome" costs nothing and earns applause. The bill goes to someone else: the working class, the suburbs, the women walking home at night.
The results are everywhere. Criminals treated as victims of society. Sexual assaults by migrants met with lenient sentences. Self-defense branded as aggression. Borders treated as cruelty. Saad's conclusion is simple: a society dies when it would rather display infinite tolerance than use its survival instinct.
Now the part I'll add myself, and that few people dare to say.
On average, women score higher than men on measures of empathy. It's one of the most consistent findings in psychology, across cultures, and it makes perfect evolutionary sense: for most of human history, the survival of children depended on it. It's a strength.
But it means an ideology that weaponizes empathy will hit women harder. And the data shows it: in country after country, young women have moved sharply to the left of young men, especially on immigration.
This is where men have a responsibility.
Not to mock. Not to lecture. Not to say "she deserved it." Empathy has always needed a counterweight, and that counterweight was the protective instinct: the one that draws lines, says no, and stands between the threat and the people it loves.
Men abandoned that role. They were told it was toxic, and many believed it. So they stayed silent at the dinner table, at work, with their partners, sisters, daughters and friends.
That has to end. Men have to have this conversation, honestly and with respect: compassion that cannot say no is not compassion. It's surrender. And the first to pay for it are women.
Many women already understand this better than anyone. Some of the bravest voices in this fight are women, precisely because they are the first to feel the danger in the street.
A civilization rests on a balance: compassion and strength, openness and borders, mercy and justice. When one side swallows the other, the foundations crack. What we are watching in Europe is what happens when empathy has no counterweight left.
Look at that young woman again. She isn't the enemy. She's what this ideology made of a generation that was told kindness would be enough.
Our job is to make sure she's the last generation that has to learn it this way.
She voted for it.
She welcomed them.
Faced with the encore, she begs them to stop. In her heart she knows they will not.
Everything she believed. That they were French like her, fighting for the same cause. That the ones who warned her were full of hate. That she would be safe.
It all falls apart in this moment. She is terrified of what comes next. In her heart she knows.
Only remigration can save her.

We call on France to exercise restraint when dispersing the freedom fighters on the streets of Paris. These brave warriors for justice must receive immediate humanitarian aid, and their safety must be guaranteed in accordance with international law. Failure to comply will leave us no choice but to bring a case before the ICJ, in close cooperation with that renowned champion of human rights, Afghanistan.

Tom Homan sat on Fox News Saturday grinning like a man holding the winning lottery ticket, and when they asked him if the Ilhan Omar investigation goes beyond immigration fraud he said "I'm not gonna go there," and then "I know things, but that's a question for the FBI"… and the whole panel laughed. I'm glad somebody is having fun, but you will forgive me if I hold my applause until there is an indictment with a case number on it.
Here is what is actually on the record. Homeland Security Investigations executed a judicially authorized search warrant at her Washington home on October 12, and according to Reuters and CBS they took her personal cell phone, the sealed warrant reportedly lists conspiracy, false statements on immigration paperwork and immigration fraud, DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin calls it a "strong case" and says they expect to take it to a grand jury, and Jeanine Pirro's office is separately looking at financial disclosures that showed $6 million to $30 million tied to her husband's businesses and then got amended down to under $95,000 less than a month after a watchdog complained. And Omar? She calls it an attempt to "weaponize federal law enforcement" and says she "will not be silenced," which is rich coming from the same side that spent years dragging Donald Trump through one courtroom after another and called it saving democracy.
But hey… we have heard "justice is coming" so many times you could set your watch to it, and every time the grin on cable news turns into another delay, another leak, another season of nothing while the people who did it go on with their lives. How many times do you have to watch the same trailer before you figure out there is no movie? I want this one to be real, I want the system to work for once, and I am done clapping for smirks. A warrant is not a conviction and a wink on Fox is not accountability, it's a paper tiger until somebody signs an indictment.
So here is the deal. If the case is as strong as Mullin says, take it to the grand jury, put it in front of the American people and let the evidence do the talking, and if it isn't, stop teasing it on television this close to an election and handing her the victim card she is already waving. You do not get to campaign on "I know things" while the rest of us wait on a system that has gaslit us for years. Either you have it or you don't.
@AGToddBlanche, you have the warrant, the phone and the witnesses… charge it or stop letting your people grin about it on TV.

Of course the flying Tesla Roadster is a gimmick but that sort of misses the point, the tech flex behind it isn't.
Tesla's bulk business is about advanced technology from EV to self drive, but decided to create the most ridiculous manual drive supercar. Supercars are a gimmick, almost by definition, based on how wild can you make them.
The gimmick that can make the car literally fly, briefly, can make it corner like no other supercar and accelerate, literally like a dragster on a test track. It's got nothing to do with flying continuously, but having a car that will outperform every Lambo, Ferrari or McLaren with technology that they cannot replicate because it requires experience from space launches and computation that they don't have now nor will in future.
So Porsche, Bugatti, Aston Martin just became legacy prestige brands, like Rolex, Richard Mille or Patek Philippe. These cars celebrate the bygone age and the baroque, physical complexity of the internal combustion engine just as mechanical watches do for non digital, complex time-keeping mechanisms. But hey won't be faster anymore than a mechanical watch keeps better time than a Casio. They are now, de facto, mobile jewelry and no longer supercars with superlative performance. And this affects their ability to market the bulk business of mainstream European internal combustion engine cars. It's the end of an era of industrial era manufacturing.
I hate to be the one to burst the Tesla bubble today, but the spectacular “flight” we witnessed at the Roadster reveal needs a little context. The car is carrying around 250kg of compressed air, plus the weight of the tanks, valves and thrusters needed to contain and release it.
Based on the published figures, that gives it roughly 1.5–2 seconds of maximum thrust before the system needs to be refilled.
In short, it's a gimmick.
