I came here on a student visa.
Much worse than thought: “New enrollment of international students physically in the United States declined by 72%.” If those students overseas can’t come on campus in Spring 2021 they may drop. @erikbry @levie @m_clem @FareedZakaria @McFaul @dandrezner forbes.com/sites/stuartander…

Great cities are anchored by inclusive public spaces that welcome all. We applaud @MayorDeegan's bold action and clarity of vision and are proud to support this work with @904WARD to take the next step towards creating a Jacksonville where everyone feels welcome.
Symbols matter. They tell the world what we stand for and what we aspire to be. By removing the confederate monument from Springfield Park, we signal a belief in our shared humanity. That we are all created equal. The same flesh and bones. The same blood running through our veins. The same heart and soul. This is not in any way an attempt to erase history but to show that we’ve learned from it. That when we know better, we do better by and for each other. My prayer today is for our beautiful city to continue embracing unity and bending the arc of history towards justice. Let’s keep lifting as we climb.

There's no justification for an 8-lane road like this, even in car-dependent America. It's surrounded by residential neighborhoods even though it looks like an interstate.
To no one's surprise (except maybe the people who approved the widening), it's got a car crash problem.
Have so loved bringing my past life and current life together 😊
So thrilled to see this report released, a collaboration between @duPontFund and the #GivingTuesday Data Commons.

Immigrants aren’t competitors. They are collaborators.
Unfortunately, America’s immigration system fails to recognize this fact, leading to catastrophic consequences, testified @David_J_Bier before the Senate Budget Committee. bit.ly/3rlE60Q #CatoImmigration

5 years to the day when another shooting took place in Jacksonville. The gunman issued racially motivated manifestos and went to the African American heart of Jacksonville, Edward Waters University, before opening fire on three innocent people. My heart breaks.
