Do you notice how the communists have tricked us into calling supporting our side "voting red?"

This is very valid in my experience
I love how when giving updates about the Pope's health, the Italians are always like, "EVERYTHING IS FINE HE ASKED FOR FOOD."

This is a very valuable resource. Keep it on hand for frequent reference.

On March 14, 1891, eleven Italians were lynched in New Orleans. It was the largest mass lynching in the American South. "He (President Harrison) knew Italians faced bigotry and institutionalized discrimination. He knew they faced mob violence throughout the land. He wanted to make things right — and in the process show the world a different side of America. "He settled on two courses of action. First, he agreed to pay each family of the lynched Italians $25,000, a substantial sum in 1891. Then he did something remarkable: he decided to use the office of the president to acknowledge the contributions of Italians and Italian Americans to the United States. "An American president, for the first time, would affirm officially the rightful place of Italians in the fabric of American life, turning a new page in how Protestant America saw Catholic immigrants. No longer, he wanted to make clear, could the racist editors at the New York Times approve of the lynching of anyone anywhere in the United States without rebuke." The Italian men lynched were Antonio Bagnetto, James Caruso, Loreto Comitis, Rocco Geraci, Joseph P. Macheca, Antonio Marchesi, Pietro Monasterio, Emmanuele Polizzi, Frank Romero, Antonio Scaffidi, and Charles Traina. medium.com/@nevaer1/the-lync… @TheIACRL

What you're watching is the first election in 6 years where Lula no longer has tens of millions of dollars of USAID operation money propping up him and his allies.
Here’s a shocking statistic you may not know. USAID more than doubled its spending on Brazil as soon Bolsonaro won their 2018 election. This was not because Brazil suddenly needed twice the aid. The money was spent on projects in Brazil to undermine Bolsonaro.

Cardinal Tagle, in the homily during @FultonSheen beatification: "During an audience, Pope Pius XII once asked Bishop Sheen how many conversions he could claim. He answered the Pope, “I really haven’t counted, in order not to have the temptation to believe they were mine.” He added that he saw himself as “simply a porter who is sometimes able to lead people to the open door of the house of God. I have had some success as a porter.” Blessed are you, porter to the door of God’s house!" (Photo OSV)

Florida has the lowest in-state tuition in the nation (by a wide margin): roughly $6300 per year. Florida’s Bright Futures scholarship program makes tuition either completely free or 75% off depending on the scholarship level attained. The result: 75% of in-state students have ZERO debt upon graduation.
Today, we welcomed lottery leaders from around the world to the Sunshine State for the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries conference in Orlando. The @floridalottery was created to generate revenue for education. Nearly four decades on, generations of students have benefited. Today, Florida has the lowest in-state university tuition in the nation and our Bright Futures scholarship provides full or partial tuition awards. 75% of our in-state students graduate with zero debt!

Good lord I will miss this man. We need him on the Supreme Court of the United States.
🚨 JUST IN: Gov. Ron DeSantis' FDOT is hereby TAKING DOWN Flock cameras statewide over privacy concerns in state rights-of-way All existing permits for automated license plate readers, even installed by local law enforcement, in state highway rights-of-way — are REVOKED FDOT is also “ceasing the issuance of all future requests for LPR systems within its jurisdictional authority" DESANTIS A FEW DAYS AGO: "What the HELL is going on with this?!” “I don't want to have this become a surveillance state.” “I see a police officer using this to track his ex-girlfriend?” “I'm all about having law enforcement have tools to be able to hold criminals accountable.” “I think that's important that we do that. And no one's been stronger on law enforcement than me.” “I think this has happened very quickly. I think people are right to be concerned.” “I wanted an AI bill of rights that could have addressed this and others, other issues.“ “It needs to be overhauled for SURE.” “These cameras, the license plate readers, I think it's out of control.”

The doctor who delivered Dolly Parton in a one-room Tennessee cabin in 1946 was paid with a sack of cornmeal. Her father farmed other people's land and could not read or write. Eighty years later, the reading program she built in his name has mailed more than 300 million books. She wrote "I Will Always Love You" on the same afternoon she wrote "Jolene," as a goodbye to Porter Wagoner, and released it in 1974. Elvis wanted it. The night before the session, Colonel Tom Parker called and said Presley would only record it if they got half the publishing, meaning half of everything the song ever earned. She had been in Nashville ten years by then. She said no, and cried all night. Whitney Houston cut her version in 1992, held number one for fourteen weeks, and Forbes later put Parton's royalties from it near $10 million. She put some of that money into an office complex in Nashville and called the place the house that Whitney built. Dollywood opened in Pigeon Forge in 1986 because she wanted paychecks in the county she came from. Around 4,000 people work there now. Three million visitors come every year. The University of Tennessee put its economic impact at $1.8 billion, and it is the largest employer in Sevier County. Since 2022 the company has paid tuition, fees, and books in full for every worker from their first day, seasonal hires included. Wildfires tore through those mountains in November 2016, killing fourteen people and destroying more than 2,400 buildings. Her foundation was handing out money within 48 hours. Every family that lost a home got $1,000 a month for six months, regardless of income. The final check was $5,000. Total delivered: $8.9 million. In April 2020 she sent $1 million to Vanderbilt for coronavirus research. When Moderna's vaccine results ran in the New England Journal of Medicine that November, her fund appeared in the footnotes. Carl Dean, her husband of nearly sixty years, died in March 2025. The note she wrote to fans afterward ended with the same five words she wrote for Porter Wagoner back in 1974. She died in Nashville today. Her family asked that instead of flowers, people give to the Imagination Library, which still mails 3.4 million books a month to children who will never get to meet her.
A message from the family of Dolly Parton.

Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon her. By all accounts a kind woman who did a lot of good in her life.

Along with many others, I was appalled by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s giggling dismissal of “Woke 1” as “crazy.” In case you’ve forgotten, she herself was one of the most passionate advocates of de-funding the police, tearing down statues of American heroes, establishing racial quotas, dividing the country between oppressors and oppressed, etc. I quite agree that these policy recommendations and policies were “crazy,” but she has to own up to endorsing them. More to the point, Woke 1 was not only misguided; it was cruel. One of the bitterest fruits of Wokeism was the cancel culture that resulted in armies of people losing jobs, reputations, and careers because they didn’t correspond to the reigning orthodoxy. I happen to know several people whose lives were devastated by Woke crusaders. But now it’s just “ha-ha, wasn’t that crazy.” No, it was brutal and inhumane.
"Wasn't it just crazy that time we declared your country to be irredeemably racist, caused mob violence and a massive crime wave across the country by waging a war against law enforcement, ruined peoples' lives if they made a joke in a private groupchat, and reoriented every American institution so they discriminate against white men?"

Get ready for a wave of engagement-bait outrage posts claiming the Senate is running pro forma sessions specifically to deny Trump recess appointments. They’ll point out that Trump has never made any recess appointments. What they won’t mention: Biden didn’t make any either. They won’t explain why— the Supreme Court’s 2014 Noel Canning ruling, which held that pro forma sessions keep the Senate “in session” and that a recess must last at least 10 days for the president to use the power. And they certainly won’t mention the ongoing Democratic blockade of Trump’s nominees that’s forced procedural fights and rules changes just to clear the backlog.
