Why Thomas Heatherwick’s misguided ramblings are too dangerous to ignore theguardian.com/artanddesign…
Just finished listening to the 3-part podcast today. Fully agree with Olly Wainright here. An oversimplification of the problem.

Happy early New Year!!!!! If we lived within planetary limits, then all the resources we'd used up so far this year would have lasted us the whole of 2023. Everything from tomorrow is too much. #Overshoot

These are real scientists protesting. There's almost no one in the media speaking up passionately about this - apart from those you'd expect - so I cant see how we have any hope of saving ourselves. Most people are choosing the collapse pathway through apathy. It is what it is.
Have you heard about The Big One 21-24 April? I'm joining 100,000 people gathered peacefully at the Houses of Parliament to tell our Government to act. Everyone is needed! Join me in London to make this the biggest climate protest ever held in the UK. extinctionrebellion.uk/the-b… #XR

I need a metaphor for our wilful blindness in the face of ecological crisis and the full spectrum failure of the media industry.
We can do that. How big do you want it?
So big you can see it from the fucking moon.

On #IWD2023 gotta shout out again to these ace authors - and to the work of many more brilliant women who do not have the time or platform to publish books, but whose work changes the world.
It's World Book Day and almost International Women's Day - so I can't resist a shout out to many of the amazing thinkers, doers & changemakers who inspire me every day, and who just happen to be women. #WorldBookDay #IWD23
