The normalization by conservative parties across the country to skip/avoid debates is shameful and pathetic
But the average voter doesn't care
Once again, you get the politicians you deserve

A predictable consequence of separatism dominating Alberta politics in recent months.👇
Conservatives had a 40% lead over the Liberals in Alberta at the 2021 election (55% to 15%.)
Several polls now show a statistical tie.
Many mainstream, lifetime Conservatives are repelled by separatism on the right.
By “sending a message,” a strong separatist vote will further alienate mainstream voters, electing more federal Liberals, and possibly an NDP provincial government.
How does that make Alberta stronger?

VOTE as if Canada’s future depends on it, because it does.
If you’re hoping to send a message to Ottawa, your message was already heard. Please, don’t send a message to investors that Alberta is in turmoil till another $130,000,000 referendum.
Now is time to focus on solutions.
Good news.

With tomorrow being referendum day, I think now is a good time to post this video of me on a podcast saying I wanted to double Alberta’s population.
Just remember it’s also me and my UCP blaming immigrants for all our problems.

Lowest Alberta polling for a Conservative/Progressive Conservative Party since the 1990s.
Pierre Poilievre has done what no LPC leader has managed to do in four generations--make the Liberal Party popular in Alberta.

Once again turning the sacrifices of Canadian and other allied troops into a punchline.
The United States is the only country ever to have triggered Section 5 of the NATO Treaty, i.e. calling on allies for a joint military response to 9/11.
We were there. 1100 allied NATO troops made the supreme sacrifice, including 158 brave Canadians.
Shame on this man, and those who enable him, for repeatedly mocking their bravery.
Hegseth on Afghanistan:
I was a captain in Afghanistan, and we would go to the headquarters in Kabul, and there would be 50 flags at the headquarters.
It was a beautiful thing to see 50 different countries contributing to the NATO alliance and the ISAF mission there.
Except there were like maybe five that contributed. It was actually closer to one or two that, by the end, were actually involved in kinetic operations.
In fact, the ISAF patch, we would joke that it meant "I Saw Americans Fighting."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Over 1100 non-American soldiers from 31 US-allied countries were killed fighting in Afghanistan, approximately 1/3 of the total combat deaths.

BREAKING: Russia and the US are discussing building US data centers running on Russian nuclear power, per Putin's economic envoy Dmitriev.
"We are discussing joint projects in the field of Russia-USA data centers, including with the use of our nuclear power plants," Dmitriev says.
He says Putin and Trump are discussing a wide range of projects. "I think we will be announcing some important initiatives in the near future."
"We have previously said that there is a very large synergistic effect between Russia and the United States in the Arctic, in the LNG sector, and in other energy projects," Dmitriev adds.
