ALAMEDA, Calif. — At approximately 10:00 p.m. (PDT) on Thursday, Coast Guard security personnel standing watch on Coast Guard Island observed a vehicle driving erratically and attempting to back into Coast Guard Base Alameda.
Coast Guard personnel issued multiple verbal commands to stop the vehicle, the driver failed to comply and proceeded to put the vehicle in reverse. When the vehicle’s actions posed a direct threat to the safety of Coast Guard and security personnel, law enforcement officers discharged several rounds of live fire.
No Coast Guard personnel were injured during the incident. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is the lead agency for this investigation and we are coordinating with our law enforcement partners.

A man who’s in our country illegally was artested in FL after killing a 6-year-old boy while driving under the influence. It’s his 3rd DUI.
He now has an ICE detainer hold.

On Monday, December 23rd, 2024, Police Officer Michael Horan of the Greensboro Police Department was tragically shot and killed in the line of duty.
Officer Horan was responding to a report of a man with a firearm when the incident occurred.
A proud U.S. Coast Guard veteran and dedicated officer with seven years of service, he is survived by his wife and children.
Rest in peace, hero.

SpaceX engineers are trying to deliver Starlink terminals & supplies to devastated areas in North Carolina right now and @FEMA is both failing to help AND won’t let others help. This is unconscionable!!
They just took this video a few hours ago, where you can see the level of devastation: roads, houses, electricity, water supply and ground Internet connections completely destroyed.
@FEMA wouldn’t let them land to deliver critical supplies … my blood is boiling …

A good friend in North Carolina just told me that her husband has a military buddy who was flying, delivering supplies and personnel. The FAA instructed them that they couldn't land.
He told them to "F off" and said, "If you want me, come and get me on top of the mountain!"
