Most of the things Jesus asked His friends to do were simple, but they weren’t easy. He told them to drop their plans because He had new ones for them, and it meant they had to give up being in charge. They had to let go of their need to be in control.

It’s honestly shocking how quickly we all jump to conclusions just because we want to be right. In turn, we get so used to talking over each other, that we forget to listen to what’s coming out of our own mouth.
If you want to do something amazing for God trade the appearance of being close to Him, for the power of actually being close to Him.
