Four cities in four days — it honestly feels like the pre-Covid era, and not in a good way. One more day and I’m on vacation.

This is where we are as @twitter implodes: I just downloaded @meta social media app onto my phone for the first time in 5 years. It honestly feels dirty, but #Threads feels like the Blue Bird from 2010-12. I’m at markscott82(threads.net) if that’s even how you do it?
And for all of you in the EU, I’m using Threads in Paris and it works just fine. Take that, privacy!

Let’s be clear: @meta isn’t releasing Threads in the EU because of regulatory concerns over the upcoming Digital Markers Act. They say it’s about privacy rules. But that’s not the main concern here
These 7 tech giants say they meet the requirements as “gatekeepers” under Europe’s new digital #antitrust rules. ByteDance (aka TikTok) is an interesting one to meet that designation.
Expect more names to be added by Sept.
What fresh hell is this? at this point, I think it’s on me for still using @twitter. It’s a complete dumpster fire of a social media platform with little, to no, real value left.
