Comedy, musicals, TV, radio, theatre, film. Right now we’re crowdfunding a brand new Goodnight Sweetheart novel. So don’t just sit there…

There are only two legitimate reasons to support a football club; proximity and family loyalty. We both had the luxury of being born near the Arsenal. That is why fans of other clubs deserve pity, or scorn; - they’re stuck with their teams
No mate, I support Arsenal because I grew up three miles away from Arsenal's ground. Don't put me in the same bracket as you.

Why do you have to nazify this thread?
But why are you jewing it up and spewing lies out of your butthole? What the fuck money got to do with the viewership the World Cup gets. One semi final gets more views than all three sports leagues Lmao

Them was the days
Brilliant article about the complex production of a TV masterpiece. If you’ve never seen ‘Our Friends in the North’ see it now and marvel at an era when we made shows about life as it is lived and not about spies or holidays or murder mysteries… This is what the BBC is for.

Agreed
I'm one of the few people that wished Patrick McGoohan did more Danger Man than move to The Prisoner. Never really managed to warm to The Prisoner. A quality production but I was more of a Danger Man fan.

I think you were a victim of TV politics at the BBC and crazy decision making at ITV when it comes to Goodnight Sweetheart. But I will say no more publicly.

The next best thing is the Goodnight Sweetheart novel that will be coming your way this spring thanks to #idiotboxbooks
When I saw the new Porridge I thought it would go to series plus one other, purely because the set looked like something for a series not a pilot.

How old does that make us feel?!
I watch it with my teenager and have to explain the 90s as much as wartime. Talk about make me feel as old as dirt!

Won’t be long now…
I always love that #GoodnightSweetheart is broadcast on a Saturday morning. I've seen the series many times, but it's always nice to check in. Takes me back to when important people were still here, it's like spending time with them. Look forward to the book. @marksandgran
