Just gonna put this out there:
"shave a few minutes off that task" is legit English, a metaphor that means to reduce time slightly. It's not a typo of "save a few minutes". Someone keeps logging Trailhead tickets for this. Sorry, friend, it's intentional and it's staying as is.
And yes, I'm relatively sure it's the same person or group of people that keeps logging these tickets, because they're all worded similarly.
