Helping people who feel marginalized is good. He says so himself. The trouble starts when a good cause becomes an institution.
The first few witches were real. Then you open a witch office. Now there are salaries, budgets and pensions to justify, and the office needs a steady supply of witches to keep existing.
That’s the trap. Once a cause becomes a career, solving the problem means losing your job. So the problem never gets solved. It just keeps getting redefined.
A system built to find wrongdoing will keep finding it, whether it’s there or not.

At today’s Green for Palestine press conference they wheeled out Gazan Ahmed Alnaouq. He talked about his brother Ayman who was “killed in the war”. He forgot to mention Ayman was a Hamas terrorist. What terrible associations @TheGreenParty has now.

Another terrible contribution Donald Trump has made to the general corroding of human cognition has been popularizing to the point of ubiquity the word "deal." Everything is a deal. Every trade agreement is a deal. The telos of every action in public life is a deal. Everything has been boiled down to the shallowness of a business deal. 8. Attacks Ukrainian cities, killing civilians: men, women, and children

10. Sends a whole generation of Russian youth to die in the meat-grinder of the frontlines, a disproportionate amount of these being from indigenous populations
11. Fills up mass grave upon mass grave of civilians all for the imperial ambition of regaining some lost empire from long ago

So we eased sanctions on Russia and proposed to unfreeze their assets, slow-walked missile warnings to Ukraine and are now threatening to withhold intelligence from them altogether? Why is the United States actively aiding the invader that murders innocents?
