This is what your SaaS is competing against:

many people can cook but 2.3 billion people order restaurant meals online
Replying to @avithaldas
We spend $20m+/year improving Todoist with some of the world's most skilled people. And we are probably much more proficient with AI than most vibe coders. People greatly underestimate how hard it is to create truly great products. It's like food: many people can cook, but not at a Michelin level.

coding is solved, distributed systems are not

this feels backwards: my @bot wants to just do things but @github wants human in the loop

LLMs haven’t changed that writing is still the best way for me to find out whether I actually understand what I’m on about.
i’ve been doing a lot of writing lately. it helps.

Agreed. This is why @superplanehq factory runs agents in deterministic verification loops before declaring work as ready for review.
If the verification in your software factory is prompting another agent, you don't have verification. Agents cannot verify xitter.cf/DominikTornow/status/2…

Spoke with a team who told me they try to cap PRs at 500 lines and keep failing. Some cap makes sense to avoid slop grenades. LoC is the easiest thing to measure but questionable in effect. What I care about is whether a human can understand the change and roll it back. Which is what Continuous Delivery's small batches were always about. markoanastasov.com/signals/s…

just learned you can set Dark Reader to only run on specific sites. added Gmail and finally have dark emails without messing with every other website. Site list → “Invert listed only” → mail(.)google(.)com

people have ideas and want to get them into the hands of users as quickly, efficiently and cheaply as possible this is the point of a software factory

We’re seeing ~100% growth in CI/CD usage from @semaphoreci customers this year, with Q4 still left. Driven by AI coding agent adoption.

if you're still exploring UI ideas by asking agents to implement full screens in code, you should check out @paper. Its basically the new Figma where the canvas is HTML/CSS so you're manipulating code that can be 1:1 with your app.

I’m not seeing businesses willing to buy slop but they are willing to buy working solutions to painful problems that are well supported and check off all compliance requirements
The prisoner's dilemma in company building right now: a competitor slop-cannons their roadmap, ships dozens of products, and sells them before they actually work. How do you respond?

people will be building and reading new interpretations of AI generated code
Everyone is going to be reading code again in two weeks, calling it now

SuperPlane is an open source tool that takes routine backlog tasks and has AI agents turn them into reviewed pull requests, keeping judgment calls with your team.
