Are there any examples of Franco Moretti’s Network Theory/plot analysis (litlab.stanford.edu/Literary…) being applied to journalism? Feels like a possibly fruitful research area

In Preston, Labour’s left-wing council has retained all of its seats. Their plans for the next twelve months include a worker co-op for taxis, a publicly-owned cinema and a council-run bank.
There is an alternative to defeat and desperation – it’s called socialism.

Chamath Palihapitiya on the U.S. coronavirus response
Chamath Palihapitiya, founder and CEO of investment firm Social Capital, said that the U.S. shouldn’t be bailing out billionaires and hedge funds during the coronavirus pandemic.
“We’re all in this together”
Lol.
Like fuck we are.
While some of us are isolated on our boats in the sun others, like the homeless in Nevada, get painted boxes on the tarmac.

People in California or the EU can find out what Clearview (the creepy facial recognition company that sells data to a bunch of evil people) hold on them, get them to delete it and opt-out of future collection by using clearview.ai/privacy/request…

As a former secretary of labor, I can tell you that the airlines don't deserve a $50 billion bailout.
In the last 10 years, they spent 96% of their cash flow to buy back shares of their own stock in order to boost executive bonuses.
They shouldn't see a dime of taxpayer money.
This matters. And we will see similar pushes globally. Be vigilant.

Please tell me if there's anyone I should add.
In this crisis we hear “we’re all in this together”. Especially from big business looking for a bailout. Suddenly socialism is the solution not the problem. Which of course it always has been. We have been through this before. Don’t get fooled again. Join a union(& wash ur hands)
