99% of women and girls in Somalia have been mutilated in the following way: the clitoris is cut off, along with the inner labia. Then the inner flesh of the outer labia is removed before both sides are sewn tightly together, leaving a hole no bigger than a matchstick for urine and menses to trickle through. All of this is done in childhood, and without any form of anesthesia whatsoever. Sometimes the little girl is given a scrap of leather or a stick to bite down on. The cutters use old razor blades, or sometimes a piece of broken glass. This is only the beginning of a girl’s pain. Most wedding nights in Somalia are aided by “the little knife” — that is, the new husband slices his bride open so that he can penetrate her now cut and bleeding scar tissue. Some men, however, simply batter their way through, tearing that tiny hole open by sheer force. When a woman goes into labor, she’s cut open more widely, then sewn back up afterwards so that when sex resumes she will have to be cut open yet again. This practice leads to countless deaths from infection and a drastic increase in maternal mortality, but Somali men still refuse to marry uncut women, forcing mothers to have their daughters cut or face social stigma. Uncut girls are seen as dirty; the term for clitoris is a playground taunt in Somalia, and girls who are not cut are usually ostracized by their peers. The Somali government recently debated the legality of this appalling custom, and the parliament largely split along gender lines. Female MPs roundly condemned FGM, while male MPs insisted that having a clitoris made a woman more difficult to penetrate, and quoted the hadith in which Muhammad condoned the practice. These are educated men who nevertheless claim that cutting a girl is necessary in order to control her sexuality, and that an uncut woman will be promiscuous and untrustworthy. In spite of the Somali government’s continued support for FGM, foreign aid continues to flow into Somalia unobstructed. The West should refuse to give the Somali government so much as a single dollar until they outlaw FGM and take positive steps to combat the problem. One tactic that has been highly successful involves showing Somali men a video of a girl being mutilated. Because FGM is seen as women’s business, most men have no idea what it entails. Men who watch this video are horrified, and the most common reaction has been “Not my daughter!” This proves that FGM is not hopelessly entrenched in Somali culture. Western pressure and resources could make an enormous difference in the lives of Somali women and girls, and put a stop to this barbaric practice.

Call me old school but can we go back to when marrying your brother, strangling your children, chemically castrating confused kids, letting men in girls locker rooms and aborting healthy babies in the 9th month were considered bad things? Is that too much to ask?

I used to think that the definition of insanity was "doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result" Now I'm more inclined to believe it's "Paying people NOT to work and taxing the ones that do to pay for it"

🚨 OMG. Stunning resurfaced footage shows Ugandan Mayor Mamdani saying the plan is to manipulate white leftists into electing 3rd worlders like him Spoken in his 3rd world accent: "You need someone to be a validator, tell them to TRUST US." 🤯🤯 "Minority communities, because we've never had representation, we are tied to identity. White communities...are more ideology...voters think of themselves first as progressive." Muslim invaders PURPOSEFULLY position themselves as "validators" to manipulate the public into handing over control TERRIFYING. He needs to be deported.

If you think Democrats care about lowering the price of gas, just remember that on Day One of the Biden admin, two of the first things they did were cancel the Keystone XL pipeline and halt all new oil and gas leases.

Thank god for a young kid that started asking questions 🙏🏼 @nickshirleyy this is just the tip of the iceberg. Our own government is entrenched with fraud and abuse. It’s all a smokescreen. Stealing right from under us and enjoying their riches.

I've known @jamestalarico for nearly 20 years. When we were at @UTAustin in 2009, he ran the University Democrats and I ran the College Republicans. Although we disagreed, I once considered him a friend. But then he betrayed the entire student body for his own political gain.🧵

WTF??? From a Florida ER doctor: Today I had a 25-year old with 8 kids - that's right 8, all Illegal Anchor Babies and she had the nicest nails, cell phone, hand bag, clothing, etc. She makes about $1,500 monthly for each; you do the math. I used to say, "We are the dumbest nation on earth," Now I must say and sadly admit: WE are the dumbest people on earth (that includes ME) For we Elected the Idiot Ideologues who have passed the Bills that allow this. Sorry, but we need a Revolution, If the Illegal Immigrant is over 65, they can apply for SSI and Medicaid and get more than a woman on Social Security, who worked from 1944 until 2004. She is only getting $791 per month because she was born in 1924 and there's a 'catch 22' (notch) for her. It is interesting that the Federal Government provides a single refugee with a monthly allowance of $1,890. Each can also obtain an additional $580 in Social Assistance, for a total of $2,470 a month. This compares to a single pensioner, who after contributing to the growth and development of America for 40 to 50 years, can only receive a monthly maximum of $1,012 in Old Age Pension and Guaranteed Income Supplement. Maybe our Pensioners should apply as Refugees! Consider sending this to all your American friends, so we can all be ticked off and maybe get the Refugees cut back to $1,012 and the Pensioners up to $2,470. Then we can enjoy some of the money we were forced to submit to the Government over the last 40 or 50 or 60 years. PLEASE SHOW THIS TO EVERY AMERICAN TAXPAYER YOU KNOW

If you're planning to vote Democrat, and you're doing it sincerely, because you genuinely want a fairer country, cheaper homes, better schools, and a future for your kids, this post is for you. I'm not here to insult you. I'm here to show you something nobody inside the system will ever tell you. Give me two minutes. Why do people keep defending a system they know doesn't work? You've seen it a hundred times. A program fails, its budget doubles, the problem gets worse, and the people in charge ask for more. Nobody inside seems surprised. That's because, for them, the system isn't failing. It's working exactly as designed. Just not for you. To understand it, forget ideology. Follow the incentives. A politician's horizon is the next election. Two years, four years, six at most. His reward comes from promising: free tuition, cancelled debt, guaranteed housing, a green transition paid for by someone else. The bill arrives in ten, twenty, thirty years. By then he's retired, writing his memoir, giving paid speeches. He collects the applause today. You pay the invoice tomorrow. Any system where the person who makes the promise never pays for breaking it will produce endless broken promises. That isn't a moral failure. It's a mathematical certainty. A bureaucrat is rewarded for the size of his budget and his team, not for solving the problem. If he solves it, his department shrinks. If it gets worse, he asks for more money, and he usually gets it. Failure is literally funded. Then add the mega-donors. Foundations like those of Bill Gates or George Soros spend billions shaping policy: global health priorities, criminal justice, education, elections. You don't need to imagine a secret meeting. That's the point. No conspiracy is required, only incentives. The foundations fund the causes, the politicians adopt them, the agencies execute them. And when it goes wrong, who pays? Not the foundation. Not the politician. The neighborhood where the policy was tested. The billionaire never lives inside his own experiment. The Austrian economists understood this a century ago. Mises showed that a state can't allocate capital properly because it has no prices, no profit and loss, no signal telling it when it's wrong. Hayek showed that no planner can ever know what millions of people know. When an entrepreneur misallocates capital, he goes bankrupt. When a state does, it raises taxes, prints money, or borrows from your children. Error is never punished, so it never stops. And that's where the cycle locks in. When capital is allocated by politics instead of markets, the most profitable skill is no longer building. It's lobbying. Getting close to the money. Writing the rule that crushes your competitor. Corruption stops being a bug and becomes the business model. Every round creates more people who depend on it and will defend it. That's why the system protects itself even when everyone knows it's broken. Too many livelihoods depend on the lie. Meanwhile, Europe's fashionable economists offer the opposite diagnosis. Thomas Piketty and Gabriel Zucman tell us the problem is that the state doesn't take enough: more wealth taxes, more redistribution, more state. France has been running that experiment for fifty years. The result is one of the highest tax burdens in the developed world, record debt, and capital and talent leaving the country every year. History shows how this movie ends. Debt piles up until it can no longer be repaid. Currencies get debased. Then comes the reset, and it is rarely peaceful. Rome debased its coins for generations before it collapsed. Weimar's hyperinflation came just before the darkest chapter of the 20th century. Empires that can't stop spending don't reform gently. They break. We are approaching the end of that cycle. America now spends more on interest on its debt than on its military. Read that sentence twice. The good news is that the ending isn't written yet. You can still choose builders over promisers. You can still demand that the people who make decisions live with their consequences. You can still ask for less state, not more. Wake up. The people selling you the dream will never be the ones paying for it.
I’m French. I want to talk to Americans who are about to vote Democrat. Not to insult you. To warn you. I come from your future. In France we did everything your progressive politicians promise. Free healthcare, free college, generous welfare, strong unions, heavy regulation, high taxes on the rich, a state that takes care of everything. Public spending close to 57% of GDP, one of the highest on the planet. On paper, it’s the dream. Here’s what it looks like from the inside. France hasn’t passed a balanced budget since 1974. Our debt is above 3,300 billion euros. Interest on that debt is becoming one of the biggest items in the national budget. Our hospitals are collapsing despite record funding. Our schools rank lower every year. Young people with degrees can’t afford an apartment in the city they were born in. Our best engineers leave for London, Zurich and San Francisco. And the rich you wanted to tax? They left too, and took the jobs with them. The promise was protection. The result is stagnation. The worst part is that nobody in France voted for decline. Every single step sounded generous, compassionate, reasonable. One more program. One more regulation. One more tax to fund it. Each step alone makes sense. Fifty years of them, and you wake up in a country that can no longer build a nuclear plant on time or keep its streets safe. I love America because it’s the one place on earth where people still believe they can build something from nothing. I came to Silicon Valley as a self-taught kid and it changed my life. That spirit is the most precious thing your country has. Before you vote, ask yourself one question: is the program you’re voting for making America more like America, or more like France? Trust me. You don’t want to be France.
