In Jimmy's case, it left him with PTSD, caused family rifts and led to a suicide attempt and homelessness.
Now 45, it's great to see him in a happy place. Waiving his anonymity, he says, is all part of the healing process.
And respect to you @AggreyJimmy

In 2022, Chelsea paid damages to Jimmy and various ex-players who had the misfortune, in the 1980s/90s, of playing for Gwyn Williams and Graham Rix in #CFC’s youth team.
I've been following this story since 2018 and, even now, the details still shock me.

On my way to London to finish off my last week of sparring before my fight on May 25th at Bethnal Green.
Tomorrow I’m sparring David Adeleye and on Thursday I’m sparring Chris Billam Smith.
No doubt another hard week but that’s what I signed up for. Wish me luck! 🥊🇯🇲🇬🇧
