So items that are literally law in the UK have been put into a document that is only in English? I know there's nothing saying they legally have to provide documents in other languages but for this sort of thing it would definitely make sense to do so. gov.uk/government/publicatio…
Please help save Jodrell Bank if you can. #jodrellbank #ukastronomy #astronomy #ukheritage #heritage
Sent a DM to @LycamobileUK and got a message back saying their account has moved to a different X page that of which has been banned. Looks like someone has taken over their social media accounts.
On UK Gladiators on the Unleash game at the steps are the contestants allowed to miss steps? One of the contenders jumped over the first two or three steps and then continued on from that point. Is that allowed?
Just saw an advert on TV (UK) for McDonald's giving away friends toys. Why couldn't they get the actual voices of the actors? What I just heard was a travesty! 😂
If it had been possible for John to grow up never knowing that word then he would have said something else instead. The problem for people with Tourette is that word is everywhere in films and TV and usually most of the time said by non-white actors.....
A very easy fix to BBC (or any other news outlets) editing speeches in the way the BBC did is if the two parts of a speech come from the same recording then show the time or video timestamps on the clips. Everyone can then see right away what has been done and actually said when.
So the first recorded information on a person showing autistic traits is from 1747 (there could of course be even earlier cases not recorded) and Tylenol wasn't released until 1955. Hmmmmm. Does Trump not know history? Methinks not!
Well apparently @Google employees think if you have a contractual complaint with them that you should go to your local police station in order to complain to them. Note I said TO and NOT about! Any lawyers want to hear this one? I'm positive your jaw will drop! @sundarpichai
Wow! Just wow! Have just read what Labour MP Dennis Jones said about victims of the r#pe gangs in Rotherham. If he's still an MP by the end of next week then there is something very very wrong somewhere. express.co.uk/news/politics/…
How is restricting applicants to only the middle class and also restricting them to those whose parents had certain jobs when they were aged 14, above board and legal? Yes, class isn't a protected characteristic but that surely can't be legal, can it? bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cm21…
I wonder if she'll be deleting all these posts if they get proscribed tomorrow or whenever? Either way this probably isn't going to age very well!!
Oops! Showing support for a terrorist group is in and of itself an offence S12 Terrorism Act 2000. Not sure who she's referring to as we here and seriously hope she isn't talking for everyone in the country. I don't think this Tweet (or whatever they're called now) will age well.
As much as I think this could be very useful I think they need to be careful implementing it if people don't want their child's DNA stored. It could be a breach of human rights and data protection otherwise. bbc.com/news/articles/c1ljg7…
They've said "This is a complex subject, and our position has always been that if there was a material change in law, science.." Erm pardon? What sort of material change could there ever possibly be in science? bbc.com/sport/football/artic…
Trump has been saying he's going to buy Greenland, then he wanted Canada to be the 51st state, what will he try next?
Adding the moon to his portfolio? #trump
Good to see both the council and the Forestry Commission taking the felling of the Enfield Oak seriously. Hope this can come to the conclusion which is needed here. #massivefine #enfieldoak
Replying to @eatdrinkmb
@eatdrinkmb When are you going to furnish the British public with the proof you say you have regarding the tree you felled? Surely if you were given advice then you can publish it.
So at first @tobycarvery said they'd done nothing wrong with cutting down that tree but now are apologising for having done so. Those two actions don't equate. If you've done nothing wrong then there's no need to apologise. You only apologise when you've done something wrong.
