Why did I decide to share Regan’s story publicly for the first time to @KTLA ?
It’s because I want everyone to remember how amazing she was in every way, and how ridiculously excited she was to be a “girl mom” for the first time nearly 8-months pregnant with Ophelia.
A lot of what has helped me in these past six months has been music Regan and I shared together, none of which was more important to us than @MumfordAndSons .
One of our early “she’s the one” dates was seeing them at the Ohana Festival when she informed me her little sister, Rylie, another diehard fan, would be joining us. It was a magical night with a full set before Delta dropped, and from that moment on it was one of our most special bonds. We saw the band anytime they came to LA, and I surprised her with a Nashville trip to see them, not to mention had countless concerts trapped at home during COVID watching full live sets on @YouTube .
So Marcus, if you’re listening, I’d love one of your biggest fans who was killed tragically to get the shout out she deserves, especially with us attending your upcoming shows in LA at @thekiaforum .
Heck, she still insisted on getting “Below” as her first tattoo on the bottom of her foot for her fave Mumford song. Now that’s dedication!

Six months ago, my friend Matt’s pregnant wife Regan was killed while the family was biking home from dinner. He tells his tragic story here for the first time — and shares how @MumfordAndSons brought them together. 💜

Last year, @destinyoshay published a short story, “The Jump,” only to have it pulled from publication less than a day later over disagreements with the editors. She talks with @DeeshaPhilyaw and @dawniewalton about it:

Women know that men don’t scheme to “dress like girls” to assault them.
They do it every day in broad daylight. And the ones in power protect each other to keep it quiet.
Just ask the House Ethics Committee. Or the President-elect of the United States.
Leave women alone.
