DC Studios appears to be skipping Hall H again at San Diego Comic-Con. And yeah, I get the money argument. No point spending millions if you have nothing new to show. Fine. But timing matters. SUPERGIRL just took a beating. The DCU conversation is messy. Marvel is reportedly coming back to Hall H, and Kevin Feige plays for keeps when he has the room. MAN OF TOMORROW is next year. So is THE BATMAN PART II. They are filming. There is clearly something DC could tease. Hell, surprise announce the new Batman for THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD and the room melts down. Instead, DC is skipping the biggest comic book stage in America. Maybe Gunn is saving the big stuff for CCXP in Brazil, where DC tends to get a louder reception. Maybe they just do not have enough ready to justify the spend. But LANTERNS being there is not enough. DC needs a room-shaking reminder that this universe has a future. Skipping Hall H may make business sense. It still looks like retreat.
