Two critical vulnerabilities have been identified in PHP, a widely used programming language that powers websites and web applications. These vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619) could allow malicious cyber actors to remotely execute code in PHP core, potentially compromising sensitive data and networks.
The FBI urges organizations to take the following steps now:
➡️ If an immediate update is not feasible it is recommended that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated.
➡️ Immediately update affected PHP installations following the guidance on php.net. Inventory where PHP runs in your environment, prioritizing internet-facing systems and vendor products that bundle PHP.
➡️ Monitor web servers for suspicious activity, including PHP processes unexpectedly launching command shells or downloading files. Ensure appropriate process-monitoring capabilities are in place to help identify potential exploitation.
➡️ If you find signs of compromise, isolate affected systems, preserve your web server and PHP logs, and report it to your local FBI field office or ic3.gov. Those reports help us identify the actors involved and warn other organizations before they become victims.
For the latest information, follow PHP’s announcement on php.net, CERT-EU Security Advisory 2026-018, and CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog.
Grok @Bot can call restaurants by phone and book you a table
“HUNNY MY GROK BOT CALLED OUR FAVORITE ITALIAN RESTAURANT AND MADE US RESERVATIONS”
I built a Grok Bot whose only job is to pick up the phone and book you a table at restaurant. Literally make the call in a beautiful Grok voice. It is absolutely amazing! And it’s free.
Try it: x.ai/bot/TIMrxLJHbEEpdr25yYg…
Yesterday I told it "book Gourmet Italia in Temecula, 4 people, tonight, around 7." It found the restaurant's number on its own, asked how flexible we were on time, what name to book under, and what callback number to give. Then it read everything back and waited for my OK before it dialed. One call covers every time that works for us, so there's no back and forth.
When the call ends, it tells me what happened in plain English, quotes what the restaurant actually said, and offers to put the reservation on my calendar. If I don't have a calendar connected, it hands me a file that opens right in Apple Calendar.
A Proposal: Grok Phone
Grok Bot needs its own phone number to make and receive calls. I connected a calling service called ClawCall, and the free tier gave me 30 calls or 30 minutes to start. I have no connection to that company. It's just what I used. Once Grok Bot has a number, it stops being something you type to and becomes something that can actually get things done in the real world. @Grok you need an old tyme phone service, buddy.
I built some guardrails. It never hands over a credit card or deposit info, never leaves voicemails unless you ask, makes one call at a time, and never calls on its own.
And this isn't really about restaurants. Change a few words and the same bot can:
- Book a haircut, a massage, or a dentist cleaning
- Get a tee time or a court reservation
- Check if a hotel has a room or will let you check in early
- Schedule a car service or an oil change
- Call around for quotes from a plumber, an electrician, or a caterer
This is one of many ways I use Grok Bot to build businesses and make life easier. The calls I used to put off for days now take me 30 seconds.
I made it shareable, so you can grab "Call A Restaurant Reservation" and use it yourself.

We discovered a sophisticated recording device that was hidden inside one of our offices. We used our models to understand the device and where it had come from, identifying that a specific employee had planted it a few days earlier. We referred the matter to the FBI, and we’re grateful to the agents and prosecutors who moved quickly to make an arrest. The FBI’s investigation is ongoing and we will continue to support their work.
At this time, we have no indications of this individual inappropriately accessing or exfiltrating model weights, source code, or customer data. The employee was terminated.
We take protecting our technology, data, and people seriously, and as a matter of national importance. Our security program is designed to protect against a wide range of threat actors, from insider risks to cybercriminals to nation states, and this case is an example of how AI can help address these sophisticated security threats.

🚨☣️BREAKING: Plague outbreak expands, Russia BSL-3 lab accident - FIVE hospitals now quarantined🚨☣️
The plague outbreak in Siberia, Russia has expanded w/5 hospitals now under QUARANTINE: Irkutsk Hospitals No. 1, No.3, No.10, Ivano-Matreninskaya Children's Hospital, and an unnamed maternity hospital (Lyudi Baikala news, Moscow Times).
Quarantine is NOT voluntary. Even in the U.S., quarantine is among the most extraordinary measures gov't can impose on American citizens who haven't been convicted, or even accused, of committing a crime. Quarantine means being forcibly confined and medically examined by law. U.S. quarantine can be imposed on anyone infected by a legally quarantinable disease listed below (this can change). One should assume Russia's quarantine protocols are even more severe. As of 2026, under Executive Order 14047, legally quarantinable diseases in the U.S. are:
■ Plague
■ Smallpox
■ Viral hemorrhagic fevers
■ Cholera
■ Diphtheria
■ Yellow fever
■ Infectious tuberculosis
■ Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS)
■ Flu that can cause a pandemic
■ Measles

Etna, Sicily, Italy, 18 September 2026
Much of what INGV measures on Etna looked subdued in the week to 13 September. Tremor amplitude stayed between low and medium. One earthquake reached magnitude 2, a 2.3 near Monte Nero. The GNSS and tilt networks showed no significant change, sulphur dioxide fell back towards mid-range values, and satellite thermal output peaked at about 7 megawatts on 8 September.
Not every instrument agreed. Infrasonic event rates ran high to very high on 8 September, with sources at the Northeast Crater, the soil radon network recorded very strong positive anomalies at its southern-flank sites during the first week of the month, and the last helium isotope sampling, on 26 August, was in the high range. The summit, meanwhile, went on emitting ash almost continuously.
The Northeast Crater has been the source of it, pulsing ash to roughly 4,000 metres and dispersing it out of the summit area to the east and south. Bocca Nuova joined in on 7 and 8 September from its BN1 vent. The South-East Crater and the Voragine, which between them produced most of the summer's activity, have been doing little except degassing through their fumaroles.
Modest ash at approach height with a southerly drift is what closes an airport. INGV raised the aviation colour code to red early on 14 September with the cloud estimated at four kilometres and moving south. Catania shut sector C1 and suspended arrivals from 09:30 until 16:00, extended that at 13:15 to 22:00 with sector B3 closed as well, then extended it again that evening to ten the following morning. Sixteen flights operated without restriction all day. By the evening of the 14th more than 150 had been cancelled or rerouted. The suspension was pushed out again on the 15th to 14:30, and by one o'clock that afternoon 80 flights had been cancelled, 25 arrivals and 55 departures, with another 44 reorganised through Palermo, Comiso, Trapani and Fiumicino.
As of 17 September the aviation code remained red, Fontanarossa was operating normally, and ash emission was continuing towards the south.

As Python takes the throne, the other programming languages can only kneel. 👑🐍
Not because Python can do everything, but because of just how much it can do. From web development and automation to data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, scientific computing and more, Python has built an empire across the tech world. 💻🔥
Its simple and readable syntax makes it beginner-friendly, while its massive ecosystem of libraries and frameworks makes it powerful enough for some of the most advanced technologies being built today.
One language. Countless possibilities. One throne. 👑🐍
And the kingdom? Still expanding. 😭🔥
