Maybe it’s just skewed by X but can’t believe the number of Spurs fans who are a miserable, delusional, spoiled lot. Unreal transfer window.. get beat to a winger in final days because City wants him after we finished 17th twice and this is somehow a disaster? Get a grip!

The World Cup is not FIFA’s to sell. “Outside investors" should be nowhere near the greatest sporting prize on earth. "Outside investors" should be nowhere near a governing body, even a subsidiary of FIFA. The optics are terrible. The threat of interference is obvious. There was enough political interference in the sport at the World Cup over suspending Folarin Balogun’s suspension. Damaged the integrity of the game. There was commercial interference with the sponsored hydration breaks. Damaged the flow of the game.
FIFA insists that the billions raised by “outside investors” will help smaller national associations in the story first reported by the Financial Times and Times. That, coincidentally, should guarantee Gianni Infantino votes to continue as FIFA president next March.
FIFA also insists that these outside investors’ involvement in “FIFA Forward Enterprise” will not interfere with the “democratic” process of FIFA. But who are these private investors? What are their motives? Ego? Influence? Alarm bells should be ringing throughout world football about this deeply dangerous development.

Watching the Spanish feed and the commentator is just going through replay after replay of that Spain goal saying “Nada… nada.. nada.. nada.. nada.” Seems as confused as I am. What was the call?
God forbid people (yes, casuals AND regulars) just enjoy a wild, fun game once in a while. The snobbiness/preachiness of this kind of take (“Dear dummy, you don’t know what you are watching”) just blows my mind.
Jude Bellingham, you beauty. What a World Cup for him. That was great fun. The purists and coach nerds can shove it for a day. Some of those France combinations are just ridiculous. Pleased that Saka introduced himself to Tommy Boy.
Can Tottenham really sell Djed Spence after this World Cup? He’s been awesome. Value up for sure but Udogie is so injury prone and we can’t play Porro into the ground. No other right back cover. Deserves to start a lot, though. Could see him wanting a move. #COYS

Fair play to Thomas Tuchel, who seems to have managed to change that inbuilt DNA of England players to not attack after taking the lead in just three days. Imagine what could happen with 18 months before a major tournament...
