not selected for the codex hackathon
also important to share that there are multiple such instances behind the wins :)

Yes even I got rejected
I think they hate Claude users 🤣
My senior @mittalparth_ sent me a whole book of messages like these.
Blessed to have someone like @mittalparth_ who guided me when I was just starting out in this space and needed direction with hackathons.

Second Runner Up: Darkchoclate
A voice-first language learning game built around practical phrases rather than full fluency. Select a region and difficulty, then practise real scenarios ,booking an auto, for instance, with responses graded and difficulty scaling as you improve. Built on Sarvam's STT and TTS.

Bit late to the trend 😭
but we now have a 'saloon' task in every city at Sadak
complete the task in the local language, then sit back and enjoy the classics 🎶✂️
I made a website that plays bangers from indian barbershops
before you became fancy and started visiting salons. you once went to a 'saloon'. ₹20 haircuts. simple hairstyles with music that could fix your soul.

what if you could listen bangers in multiple Indian languages?
sadak now has a barber shop errand to listen to regional bangers across 11 languages
bonus, you get to learn how to ask for a haircut in that language! 😋

Introducing Discovery Loop ♾. We’re building AI to run experiments at unprecedented scale and to solve the biggest bottlenecks in science and engineering.
Our founders @JeffDean, @Sanjay_Ghemawat, @quocleix, @OriolVinyalsML helped build the AI infrastructure and models that scaled the modern world. Now, we are scaling discovery itself.
The future can't wait.

from not into the top 15 to getting a wildcard entry to now 2ND RUNNERS UP at the @SarvamAI x @GrowthX_Club hackathon 🥳🥳🥳
we built sadak, a 3d language learning game using sarvam STT, TTS and their 105B model
@waitin4agi_ absolutely loved sadak and asked us to be the ROBLOX of Indian language learning 🔥🔥
absolutely in love with this team and looking for more such hackathons - @ahmedfahim21_ @im__apoorva and @mittalparth_
huge shout out to @VinayakGavariya for this opportunity and supporting us throughout
btw we are live, checkout the first comment for the link :)
here's what we tried to cook at the @SarvamAI x @GrowthX_Club hackathon, built with Opus 5
- before the version @mittalparth_ showed, we started building an open world GTA styled Bengaluru you could actually walk around in
- the idea was that you'd roam the city, walk up to a flower stall or an auto, and the conversation practice would just happen there, in place, instead of in a menu
- hugely inspired by @mattshumer_ s Claude of Duty 🫡🫡
- the part I'm most happy about, every single asset you see here is generated in JavaScript. Vidhana Soudha, the auto rickshaw, the coconut trees, flower stalls, tarpaulins, the mess of street wires overhead, the market carts, nothing downloaded, nothing modelled in Blender, no heavy 3D assets anywhere at all!!!
and yes the auto looks a little rough xD
- it was eating way too much of our time though, so we made the call to ship the lighter, actually finished version instead. Maybe the right call for a hackathon, still a little sad about it 🥲
happy to keep building this out if people want to see where it goes :)
