My session at the 1st Midlands MAP Festival: Philosophy, Academia and Mental Health is later this week. I hope that my presentation, "Admission: The Subject as an Object of Study," will allow us to discuss how disorders, surveillance, and norms of sanity function in the academia.

Our Midlands MAP Festival has officially come to an end! And what a way to finish the festival with the brilliant @DanaFMiranda. Thank you. We especially loved the connections you drew from Fanon and the field of phenomenology to explain mental health challenges in academia! 💯
Midlands MAP Festival ended few moments ago and we could not imagine a more powerful and fascinating way to close it than with the talk by Asst. Professor Dana Francisco Miranda!
Africana philosophy, phenomenology and existentialism accompanied us in this last event!
A final special thanks to all our speakers for sharing with us their academic research, scientific work, expertise and personal experiences during our Festival!
@QCassam @lisabortolotti @JazKhanWrites
@urIocaIgay and Asst. prof. Dana Miranda and Matthew Duncombe!
