من التهديدات والاعتداءات إلى الملاحقات القضائية والقتل، يواجه #الصحافيون/ات في المنطقة العربية ومنها #لبنان تحديات متزايدة تهدد سلامتهم وحقهم في نقل الحقيقة، في ظل استمرار #الإفلات_من_العقاب وغياب #المساءلة.
كيف يمكن مواجهة هذه الانتهاكات؟ وما مسؤولية الحكومات والمؤسسات الإعلامية والمجتمع الدولي في #حماية_الصحافيين وضمان حقهم في ممارسة عملهم بحرية وأمان؟
أبرز هذه القضايا والتحديات نوقشت خلال الفعالية التي نظّمتها مجموعة من المنظمات الحقوقية المحلية والإقليمية والدولية في بيروت، تحت عنوان "لا للإفلات من العقاب على الجرائم المرتكبة ضد الصحافيين في المنطقة العربية". تخللها افتتاح معرض لصور #الصحافيين/ات الذين فقدوا حياتهم بسبب عملهم الصحافي المهني في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا خلال السنوات الأخيرة.
