ALT Initial opening of KSRL MS E282 showing the inside of the worn parchment cover (on the left) and the beginning of Guido delle Colonne's _Historia destructionis Troiae_ starting with a 5-line puzzle initial S and a three-quarter pen-flourished bar border extending from the initial on folio 1r (on the right).

ALT Lawrence, KS, University of Kansas, Kenneth Spencer Research Library, MS E35. Pictured here is the inside of the front/left board of its fifteenth-century binding, with alum-tawed leather turn-ins with V-shaped notches and part of four transverse spine linings made of parchment adhered to the board exposed. The text from the repurposed parchment text guard which offset onto the inside of the board and over the turn-ins is also visible.
