At this point the whole EU Inc negotiations are so lost in the details that everyone forgot the main goal: Creating a standard. Basically, allow founders to raise quickly globally and use stock options to hire competitively. Let’s say it quite clearly: 1) If EU Inc isn’t providing a standard it’s useless. We already got 30+ legal entities in Europe. Experienced founders use Delaware Inc already because of this. 2) If EU Inc doesn’t fix stock options Delaware Inc is still the better option. I understand the there are complex details and people are worried about loopholes. But you can’t lose the actual goal of it because of it. An EU Inc that doesn't provide a standard is pointless. Nobody will care about intricacies of compromises reached in political committees if the market can't use the outcome. If you are in contact with your political leaders (prime ministers, presidents, et al) please reach out to them. Or to founders/investors in your network who might have that access. 🔥🇪🇺✌️ xitter.cf/euinc_petition/status/…
Europe’s founders need a European standard to compete globally from day one. Europe’s leaders committed to delivering one. But their teams are negotiating away the very things that make it one. There is still time to change course if Europe's Heads of State step in now.

Codex has become nearly unusable. A pity really. I have a goal task running for nearly two days now. 51 tasks that Codex scoped in fairly small chunks. 24 of those tasks have finished. More than 1d and 22h have elapsed. Five hours ago I turned on fast mode. It hardly helps. :(

As I do every year on this day, I make myself re-read this and sit with it for as long as I can. And remember. One of the greatest pieces of writing, on any subject, ever. The Falling Man by Tom Junod esquire.com/news-politics/a4…

I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

🚨🇫🇷🇪🇺 This is big: the French government and agencies are officially getting out of Windows & non-EU tech. Each ministry has to present their exit plan before Autumn: collaboration tools, antivirus, AI, databases.. It's starting with the Digital Ministry dropping Windows for Linux across its own infrastructure. It's the latest step from France to reduce its tech dependency as much as possible. Previously: > 80,000 French social security agents migrating to sovereign tools: Tchap, Visio, FranceTransfert. > the national health data platform moving to a European cloud solution by end of 2026. There will also be a dependency mapping across all public procurement, and a definition of what counts as a "European digital service" (which could be followed by other EU states as well) This is coming from the Prime Minister's initiative, signed off by three ministers. They call this move #GAFAMdetox

🚨𝘽𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙆𝙄𝙉𝙂: European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen unveiled EU–INC, a new framework that lets you launch a company in 48 hours for under €100 Starting a company across the EU today = 27 legal systems, 60+ company structures 🤯 That might be about to change… The European Commission just introduced 𝗘𝗨 𝗜𝗻𝗰., a new optional corporate framework designed to make Europe actually function like one market. Here’s what stands out: → Set up a company in 48 hours → Cost: < €100 → Fully online, no minimum capital → One single framework across all EU countries → Easier share transfers & fundraising → EU-wide employee stock options (huge for talent) Especially the EU-wide stock option plans, taxed only when employees actually sell (instead of when granted) is huge. This makes it far easier for startups to attract and retain top talent, finally putting Europe closer to the US playbook. Source/More info: ec.europa.eu/commission/pres… In short: This is Europe trying to compete with the simplicity of a Delaware C-Corp 🇺🇸 And honestly… it’s long overdue. For years, European founders had 2 choices: 1. Stay local and deal with fragmentation 2. Move to the US to scale 𝗘𝗨 𝗜𝗻𝗰. is trying to remove that trade-off. If executed well, this could be one of the most important structural changes for European startups in decades. What do you think?

Being loved is a status. A label you carry because someone else feels a certain way. Being in love is a state. It happens to you. You fall in or out of it. Being loving is a practice or a way of being. It’s chosen, cultivated, and renewed. It's about how you meet the world.
Better than being loved is to be in love.

Here is my new post arrr.co/p/the-real-choice-af… This is part two of my 2026 trends series. Part one explored AI becoming economically real (arrr.co/p/2026-when-ai-hits-…). This piece looks at what follows once the consequences start showing up in organizations, culture, and power.
