This is absurd. The Neocons don’t care if their destabilization agenda destroys Christian presence. On the other hand, the anti-Neocons launder history & pretend Christians weren’t third class citizens under Islamic rule. Yes, there were periods of coexistence, but I can also give you a long list of Muslim massacres long before Israel existed. Why do we have to go from one anti-Christian extreme to another? Get it together @TuckerCarlson.

Theologian JD Hall to Tucker Carlson: The Muslim rulers didn't tax churches during the Ottoman period. They were very kind to Christians. As a matter of fact, they took care of our holy sites. Islamic authorities rebuilt the Church of the Holy Sepulchre three different times over the centuries. They had a law protecting Christian pilgrims on their journey. Nobody messed with the pilgrims.

One of the great tragedies of our time is how thoroughly the headscarf has been "Islamized" in the public imagination. A woman covering her hair is now seen almost exclusively as a marker of the strict Islamic dress code. See any Woman wearing a head covering and the mind immediately thinks of Islam, and from there to the assumption that it is a symbol of women's oppression. What gets lost is that nearly every culture in the world once had its own rich tradition of headwear and veiling for women. A century ago it was simply normal. Yet people are now walking away from that heritage for no better reason than its association with another group, and some have come to view it with open hostility.

In 1803, Napoleon declared that the Louisiana Purchase would secure the power of the United States forever, adding: “I have given England a rival who, sooner or later, will humble her pride.”

Para entender las complejas referencias a Kantorowicz por parte de Peter Thiel recomiendo leer el capítulo sobre su figura de este libro 👇
Alongside Thomas Carlyle—whom, to repeat, he speculates may have written a kind of disguised Antichrist manifesto through his book on great men—venture capitalist Peter Thiel draws attention to a less famous author, Ernst Kantorowicz. Kantorowicz was a right-wing, German-Jewish intellectual—in Thiel's words, "sort of a Bronze Age Pervert." Kantorowicz, Thiel notes, belonged to poet Stefan George's "somewhat occult" circle. (In a previous lecture, Thiel recited George's poem on the Antichrist; here he notes in passing that George's Theosophically inclined circle adopted the swastika before the Nazis.) In Thiel's account, George urged Kantorowicz to revitalize a listless, Weimar-era Germany through a biography of medieval Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II. The leader, declared by Pope Innocent IV to be a forerunner to the Antichrist, comes across as messianic, Nietzschean—as a child, defiant, and (per Kantorowicz's biography) later interpreted, depending on the observer, as either Satanic/Antichristic or, on the other hand, as a Christlike savior figure, perhaps protected by God. Thiel argues that the biography can be read both as history but also as a kind of séance gone wrong—one that brought something like the spirit of Frederick II in a way that went terribly awry.

Reactionaries for some reason think “romantic love” is some special magical thing and not as mundane, boring, and common as like “eating food”

The first modder.
Amir Timur found ordinary chess too easy, so he invented his own variant, “Great Chess” (شطرنج الكبير). It was played on a massive 10×11 board with 28 pieces per side, including camels, giraffes, elephants, and war engines, each with unique moves.

Saddam Hussein emails a random American citizen, Christopher Love of Pennsylvania, who tried to contact Hussein earlier this month, to express his personal condolences for the September 11 attacks. “Dear brother in the family of mankind,” the email reads in part, “I am presenting my condolences to you. God has created us, and to God we return. May you have a long life.”

“If France calls on me” This is the problem with the leftover “monarchs” in the modern era — they all act like Aragorn who was reserved in his ascension to the throne so as to prove himself and win the people over. The people of Gondor had the Stewards and were already used to being ruled by a monarch. Instead we live in an age that has been stripped of kings and would require assertiveness and action to regain that kind of love, devotion, and submission. Heir Bourbon should be acting more like Napoleon if he wants to “save” France.
“The situation has never been so serious; the Fifth Republic is on the verge of collapse. My family has served France for centuries, and if France calls upon me, I will be at its service. The indispensable condition is that France desires the return of the monarchy - a monarchy above parties, unifying.” - Luís de Bourbon, direct descendant of Saint Louis IX

Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding, and my entire will, All I have and call my own. You have given all to me. To you, Lord, I return it. Everything is yours; do with it what you will. Give me only your love and your grace, that is enough for me.
