No Kobbie Mainoo: Nobody in this squad matches his ability to retain possession, circulate the ball and control the midfield. 2. Bruno Fernandes is a liability in possession. He cannot keep the ball for more than five seconds before rushing a pass or giving it away. 3. Michael Carrick is tactically clueless. The team has no structure, no control and no clear idea of what it’s doing. When four midfielders cannot control a game, you have to question the manager and the players.
