Supporters of Amendment 3 state this amendment won’t defund the police but here we have the Amendment 3 House Sponsor Rep Toby Overdorf stating City Police Departments may have to close their doors. Welcome to Florida where Republicans openly advocate to Defund the Police.

On a night where we may have just seen Mike Evans Hall of Fame career come to an end, I wanted to share this friendly reminder that @RealSkipBayless doesn’t know ball
There is no way Mike Evans is better than Johnny Manziel. In fact, to a degree, Evans was a PRODUCT of Manziel.

I love the pundits who dismiss concerns about public safety and Amendment 3 as nothing more than “fear mongering.” Apparently, some people have forgotten what happened in Florida between 2008 and 2011 following Amendment 1 and the collapse of property-tax revenues. Firefighters and law enforcement officers were laid off. Fire stations closed. Apparatus were taken out of service. Departments reduced staffing, and communities faced concerns about emergency response capabilities. These aren’t hypothetical scenarios. They’re documented events. The graphic below contains actual news headlines from that period. The articles show what happened to public safety agencies as local governments struggled with declining revenues, property-tax reforms, and the economic downturn. There is a legitimate discussion to be had about property-tax relief. There is also a legitimate discussion to be had about how governments fund fire rescue, law enforcement, and emergency services. Dismissing those concerns as “fear mongering” doesn’t change the historical record. @JeffreyBrandes @HollyBullardFL

Fixed that nonsense. No ones beating this team. Best combination of physicality and speed to hit the gridiron. No further questions at this time.

Jayden Maiava better have his head on a swivel for the rest of this game. The ducks are about to go hunting. Dirty play by @uscfb and the way they are celebrating and smiling on the sideline makes you wonder whether if Riley put a bounty out there knowing his ass is gone if they lose this game

Amendment 3 is dead and has been for a month. When the Governor has to threaten every Legislator with their appropriations to get support you know it’s a dog shit piece of legislation. When it doesn’t go through session, committees, etc you know it’s a dog shit piece of legislation. What the @FloridaGOP has to call Legislators and threaten campaign finances to get support you know it’s a dog shit piece of legislation. Support property tax reform but don’t support dog shit pieces of legislation.

You mean the people that took a 40 hour online class, average a 45-48% first time pass rate on the state exam, use AI to write contracts and addendum’s, and take 3% of the purchase price have something to gain from Amendment 3 passing? Say it ain’t so…😱 What did they throw at the Speaker Pro Tem for the School Board carve out to ensure that A rated school district’s maintained their value? Hats off to Margy Grant though…hell of a move. Dues increases coming Jan 1.
Florida Realtors poured $10 million into the campaign to pass Amendment 3, the property tax-cutting ballot measure going before voters in November. Investigative reporter @Jason_Garcia explains how the group stands to benefit financially from the proposal.

The Big Ten’s response to the ending of Michigan vs Western Michigan raises FAR more questions than it answers, especially in a country where billions of dollars are legally wagered on college sports. According to the conference’s explanation, the game officials were relying on timing information that apparently differed from the game clock being broadcast to millions of viewers. Think about the implications of that for live sports betting. Sportsbooks continuously adjust live odds based on the information available in real time: score, possession, down and distance and, critically, TIME REMAINING. The betting public was watching one clock. The officials were apparently operating from another. How can a consumer reasonably evaluate a live wager when one of the most important variables used to price that wager may not even be the same information being used to administer the game? This is no longer simply an officiating controversy or a “bad call.” It raises a legitimate question about the integrity of a regulated gambling market. @FBI @FBIDirectorKash and @FTC should determine exactly what occurred, why the publicly broadcast game clock differed from the timing information relied upon by officials, who had access to that information, and whether established procedures were followed. The Big Ten and @NCAA should be compelled to preserve and produce every communication, timing record and piece of data associated with that sequence. And sportsbooks should review EVERY wager potentially affected, including live spreads, totals, team totals, quarter/half markets and player props, and determine whether those wagers should be paid or refunded. You cannot operate a multibillion dollar live gambling industry while telling consumers to wager based on a game clock that may not represent the clock actually being used to administer the game. Two different clocks. Real money on the line. That requires an explanation substantially better than the one we’ve received. And no, I didn’t bet this game. I stayed away because @UMichFootball is an overrated dumpster fire.
