There is zero evidence to suggest these videos and images have anything to do with migration or immigrants, Prime Minister.
Shocking videos and images are coming out of France. Historic buildings have been destroyed, hundreds of police officers have been injured, and enormous material damage has been caused amid the escalating vandalism and violence of recent days.
In the face of this senseless destruction and unjustified violence, perhaps it is now clear to everyone why Hungary advocates the strictest possible approach to migration, and why we will not weaken our border protection or immigration policy under any pressure.
I am glad that the current EU summit has made it clear that the overwhelming majority of European countries have woken up and want to break with the permissive policies of the past. We hope it is not too late.
Let there be no doubt: peaceful and lawful protest is one thing; vandalism and violence are quite another. The former is a fundamental right; the latter is a serious crime.
The Europe we all love is in serious trouble today. It is our responsibility, too, to help preserve our continent as the most wonderful place in the world for our children and grandchildren.
Europe can count on Hungary.
I express my full solidarity with the French people.
Deportability is what pushes people to the margins and undercuts wages and standards.
The regularisation law passed by the Sánchez government does way more to protect the livelihoods, security and rights of locals than this hostile rhetoric.
As expected, 🇮🇹Meloni & 🇩🇰Frederiksen are right now launching an attack on 🇪🇸Sanchez's immigration amnesty policy at #EUCO.
They have proposed language in the conclusions calling for member states to "avoid measures that could create incentives for illegal migration." davekeating.substack.com/p/c…

This is the latest national poll in Germany. For the first time ever 30% say they intend to vote for the extreme right AfD. Meanwhile, the government is in deep crisis.
You might think this is a wake up call for all democrats, that finding an escape route is the number one topic in public debate. Instead, it’s all about whatever Elif Eralp said ten years ago.

Three Real Madrid players declined to fully display a "solidarity" shirt for Ceuta this week. The far right's reaction told you everything the shirt was actually for. (1/5)
Conservatives there and elsewhere keep trying to copy the far right to starve it of its issue. Instead they end up flattering its real offer: not fewer arrivals, zero diversity. (4/5)

Greece's top court just ruled on the government's registration system for migration NGOs:
Officials can't have unchecked discretion to reject an NGO's application, NGOs can't be forced to publicly list their funders & limits on 2-year ban on re-applying after being deregistered.
I'm gonna move to Canada
Yeah I've made up my mind
Leave everything behind
I'll catch a plane, fly away from this rain
Wow.

The European response to the #Ceuta crisis will go down in history as an own goal, an act of collective self-harm fuelling its worst enemies.
Spain defended Europe’s external border. Instead of offering solidarity, Italy, Denmark and Finland sought to punish it and @vonderleyen failed to lead.
Now, with the vast majority of arrivals already returned, Spain has shown the crisis could be managed (with Morocco).
What if the real failure wasn’t border control, but European solidarity?
Because if Europeans cannot count on one another when a Member State is under pressure at the Union’s external border, what confidence should they have that solidarity will prevail when the threat is military rather than migratory?
