I didn't know Black identity was determined by skin tone.
The same folks that tell you, "My parents and grandparents told us NEVER to bring a Negro person home," then turn around and claim they're Black because they have dark skin, lived in the projects or apart of hip hop 😒
So the people your family told you not to bring home are suddenly the same people you've always been? 🤔
Skin tone does not determine ancestry, ethnicity, culture, or lineage. Being dark-skinned doesn't automatically make someone Black any more than being light-skinned automatically makes a Black person something else.

Extremely shameful that Kohen Wiley’s murder has not gained more attention. This baby was killed by the police, and nothing has been done, and it’s being swept under the rug.
He should be alive.
Only one year on this earth.
Gone for what you may ask.
A misdemeanor.
Kohen was not collateral.
He was a victim of the state.
No parent wants to outlive their children.
Yet that is the burden his parents now carry.
A lifetime of silence now awaits.
A punishment courtesy of the state.
An ending that should never have come.

Black people make up 50% of all exonerations in the US, despite being 13.6% of the population. Black people are 7 times more likely to be wrongfully convicted of serious crimes (murder, sexual assault/drug offenses) than White individuals.
Kenneth Bullock, a 44-year-old Black man from Detroit, Michigan, walked free after spending over a decade behind bars for a carjacking he did NOT commit.
In 2011, a woman reported her Dodge Charger stolen at gunpoint. Bullock was wrongfully convicted and sentenced to 30-70 years in prison. He maintained his innocence the entire time.
This year, another man already in prison for murder confessed to the crime. The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Conviction Integrity Unit reviewed the case, and on May 28, 2025, all charges were dismissed. Kenneth is finally home with his family.
