We won an award! 🏆 Very proud to scoop Prolific North's "App of the Year" award with @talatapp last week. Glad I ended up wearing a suit 🕺🏻 talat.app/blog/talat-wins-ap…

I see, this is what happens when I forget about X for a few days is it? My man @jonathan_wilke kicks Elon out of his castle and turns it into a dedicated outbid.lol feed? Congratulations dude!

GitHublet has a new look 👇 shamelessly inspired by my friend and co-founder @t_tms's razor-sharp aesthetic on freddy.coach
I wrote a little app I can invoke with a hotkey and type any number into, and it'll bring up GitHub issue numbers ranked by relevance and recency. Enter gives me a preview inline in the window, enter again opens the link on GitHub. Saves me a ton of time over the course of a day

I'm experimenting with a new transcript layout on talat.app Left: current view - new paragraph per utterance Right: condensed view - color coded utterances Thoughts?

This... can't be good. Granted, it's the sum of two people's work, but still. Pretty abysmal work/life and code/marketing balance

Notifications CTAs are better in the next release of talat. Today, the "Dismiss" button carries equal weight with the secondary CTA ("Stop recording" in the second shot). The danger CTA state ("Delete recording") is completely new - a glaring gap in today's notifications 🫣

If you use talat - how would you vote? In fact, why not go one better and answer directly on discord? discord.gg/EZfV9yHzXR

Neither of these ratios seems very good. @X algo, what should they be? I removed about 500 long-dormant followers a year or two ago. Looks like a huge amount of those left still need to go. The perils of a 17 year old account perhaps

Still need to work on the UI to separate "Dismiss: and "Delete", but I'm looking forward to shipping these little notification nudges for no-show calls where you recorded nothing but fresh air

This is awesome! I have no idea where to get started with AEO. Ideas?
my little startup got mentioned 3,000 times by claude in the last 30 days... AEO is upon us.

We have thousands of unit and in-memory database tests on talat, but the stability of our end-to-end suite - which drives the real desktop application we ship to users - has suffered recently. Not anymore. Pleased to get this one green again 🟢

What an unusually balanced contribution policy RE: LLMs

Another talat dictation feature coming soon (built purely to scratch my own itch): refocus the *last* app you dictated into. Great when you're having e.g. an ongoing conversation with Claude and don't want to have to manually refocus your terminal to resume it

Looking forward to shipping this one. I can't count the number of times I've absent-mindedly hit ESC during a long, rambling dictation and accidentally cancelled it. talat now gives you two seconds grace to undo a cancellation and pick up dictating where you left off.

In an increasingly flooded market (meeting transcription apps), how can we make talat.app stand out? I know, deep in my core, that it is better than every other option I've tried, be they commercial, open source, cloud, local. But trying to explain the thousand small delighter features which stack up to make that true - the things we have spent thousands of hours sweating over and refining - when you have 0.5 seconds to grab someone's attention with a tweet, an email, or a web page, feels impossible. So what are the options? How do we "prove it"? How do we make people *feel it*? How do we stop the knee-jerk eye-roll that these things are all the same, when they simply are not? Help?!
