Washington states made everything more expensive. In the last 20 years, costs have doubled — sometimes even tripled. They don’t give to the people who actually built this state. They give to people who don’t work, or they dump money into programs that don’t make sense and don’t actually help anyone.
They have never lowered costs. They just make themselves richer.
How many people work for the Washington state government? It’s ridiculous. There are so many committees and people sitting around discussing bullshit while the rest of us struggle.
We need real answers about saving, not spending. After COVID they raised my rent over a thousand dollars. Nobody gets a cost-of-living raise like that. Everything has doubled. How am I supposed to survive?
I sit here working 80-hour weeks in a tech job and still can’t cover the basics. People say, “Why don’t you just leave?” I don’t want to rip my kid out of the school he’s grown up in his whole life, or take him away from the friends he’s had his entire childhood, because some people in Olympia can’t stop spending and won’t let go of the power they’ve taken.
It would be easy for them to stop taking our money and throwing it down the drain. At least give working people some relief. Instead they charge us hundreds for tabs, hundreds for power, hundreds for trains that never get built or have deadlines 20 or 30 years out. Our money goes nowhere.
I just want them to help the people they should be helping. Why aren’t they looking out for the people who actually built Washington? I watched this city grow. I grew up here when Microsoft took off. I saw people get big. But they forgot about everyone who made those lives possible — the everyday people who keep the state running.
They only care about the millionaires and billionaires. “Let’s tax them,” they say. Then the jobs leave. What are the people who were actually surviving and supporting this state supposed to do then? We can’t all pick apples.
All they care about is giving money to people who didn’t earn it and don’t work for it. I just want them to help the everyday person — the one who actually helps this state prosper. It feels like we’re always the ones they forget.

UNCONSCIONABLE: Washington State's Sentencing Guidelines Commission, appointed by the Governor and Legislative Democrats, voted 7-2 to LOWER the penalties for those convicted in sex sting operations against minors, also known as "Net Nanny" Operations.
Last year, WA Democrats submitted a similar policy in legislation with SB 5312. It was defeated by outrage from the public and Legislative Republicans (#tbt).
We have adamantly opposed this dangerous and tone-deaf idea. Children need more protection from criminals and those seeking to do them harm, not less.

DHS is honoring off-duty ICE agents for their heroic efforts in saving the life of a 4-year-old boy who drowned in a hotel pool.
On February 20, the agents were eating at a restaurant in Plymouth, Minnesota, when a distressed woman rushed over, pleading for help with her unresponsive 4-year-old child who had nearly drowned in the hotel swimming pool.
The agents sprang into action without hesitation, immediately administering CPR and continuing for several minutes until local police and emergency medical services arrived.
The child was then rushed to a nearby medical facility for additional treatment.
Thanks to the agents' swift response and lifesaving intervention, the boy regained consciousness and is now alert and recovering.
In recognition of their bravery and professionalism, ICE received a formal letter of commendation from the Plymouth Police Department, praising the agents for their critical role in what could have been a tragic outcome.

I have a feeling that in like 20 years, It will come out that all these drugs that people are put on just to deal with life. Are having an extremely harmful effect on the brain's development. And it's stopping people from rational thinking.
They say it will help, so this will play on your heartstrings, and then the outcome is people's costs go up more. Then people stop using these things since they are more expensive. People need to learn from this.
