Kwame Nkrumah was not overthrown by accident. He was removed by a conspiracy that included the United States government. On February 24, 1966, while Nkrumah was on a peace mission to Hanoi and Peking, the Ghanaian military and police seized power. The coup ended his vision of an industrialized, self-reliant Ghana and a united Africa. For decades, the US role was suspected but unproven. Then the files started opening. In 1978, former CIA officer John Stockwell revealed that the CIA station in Accra was "encouraged by headquarters to maintain contact with dissidents of the Ghanaian army," was given a "generous budget," and maintained "intimate contact with the plotters as a coup was hatched." The station even proposed a cover operation to storm the Chinese embassy during the coup, though Washington rejected that specific plan. In March 2025, Ghana's President John Mahama said it plainly at the 68th Independence Day celebrations: "Declassified documents from the United States archives reveal that this was a coup inspired and engineered by the CIA. It shattered Nkrumah's vision of an industrialised and self-reliant Ghana and significantly delayed our attainment of the objectives of nationhood". One detail complicates the story, but does not clear Washington. The high-level 303 Committee in Washington had explicitly rejected a CIA request to authorize Nkrumah's overthrow. The CIA station in Accra went ahead anyway, supporting the plotters and later receiving "full, if unofficial credit" from headquarters. The agency didn't follow the rulebook. It acted in the field and was rewarded for it. Nkrumah wanted Ghana's wealth to serve Ghana. He wanted Africa to unite. He wanted a continent that could stand on its own. That vision was buried on February 24, 1966. The men who buried it had help. The receipts are no longer hidden. They are in the archives, in the memoirs, and in the words of a Ghanaian president standing before his nation.

Ghana 🇬🇭 is expanding its rail and Volta Lake links with Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 to move goods across West Africa. Rail will connect with the lake, allowing cargo to travel from northern Ghana into Burkina Faso. The route will carry farm produce, minerals, and other freight to landlocked Sahel markets. Ghana is also building the Volta Economic Corridor, which will connect rail, lake barges, farming, and industry to support regional trade and reduce transport costs. Heavy freight will move off roads and onto rail and water. The corridor will also serve Mali 🇲🇱 and Niger 🇳🇪 A new port at Mpakadan will transfer containers from the Tema rail line onto barges bound for Buipe.

This is not Niamey or Burkina Faso or Ouagadougou that the West tells us is 60% controlled by the terrorist, it is not Bamako that they told us last year Summer/Autumn, was at imminent risk of falling. This is France, the only European nuclear Weapon power, one of the biggest imperial power, burning before our very own eyes. How the mighty have fallen.

Milan is witnessing it own Autumn revolt too, as over 5000 protesters came out to protest against the rising fuel price, that was caused by the self destructive Western sanctions on Russia. Europe is facing one of its darkest autumn in modern history.

I cannot wait to watch this so I can criticize it episode by episode. Because what the US government and British government did to Kwame Nkrumah was cruel. If it wasn't Sekou Touré of Guinea; Patrice Lumumba of DRC, Modiba Keita of Mali, Abdul Nasser of Egypt, Julius Nyerere of Tanzania, Yakubu Gowon of Nigeria, Siaka Stevens of Sierra Leone and Williams Tolbert of Liberia who stood with him even after his death to continue his legacy and dignity, we would had been told the worst about Nkrumah.
First trailer for ‘THE EYES OF GHANA’, the first-ever film produced by IShowSpeed. The documentary follows Ghanaian cinematographer Chris Hesse who attempts to rescue more than 1,000 films capturing Africa’s fight for independence in the 1950s & ’60s.

And that plane shooting was recognized by the @UN as a terrorism action done by @PaulKagame that triggered the Rwandan genocide while the perpetrator wanted to capture power by force through chaos because it was hard for him to get to power democratically!

Kagame was installed by the powers that be
Kagame is a trained CIA asset. in April 1994, he used US supplied surface to air missiles to shoot down a jet carrying the Rwandan Pres Juvénal Habyarimana and his Burundian counterpart Cyprien Ntaryamira, in order to ignite the Rwandan genocide to justify taking power by force.

Former Rwanda President Habyarimana was the best president. He was killed on April 6 by the RPF under the leadership of criminal Paul Kagame. Kagame killed Tutsi and blamed the Hutu. The same thing he is doing now in Rwanda, where he has killed all opposition leaders and critics. Kagame is an international criminal and a warlord.

Burkina Faso has temporarily suspended beauty pageants while introducing a national science competition for young women. In June the culture ministry halted the contests to draw up new rules that better reflect the country’s cultural identity, values and standards of dignity. Two months later the presidency launched HAKILI Mousso (“Female Intelligence”), which brought together 84 recent science high-school graduates to compete in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Top performers received cash prizes, motorcycles and laptops, and President Ibrahim Traoré later met the winners. Officials say the pageants will eventually return in a revised format that also promotes traditional Burkinabè styles.

As we approach the 39th anniversary of the demise of Thomas Sankara in few hours, fellow African, let me bring you some of his last words to his assailant. SANKARA SAID, “IT’S ME THEY WANT.” THE GUNFIRE FOLLOWED. BURKINA FASO LOST ITS REVOLUTION. October 15, 1987. Come, let me take you back to a Thursday afternoon in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, when one of Africa’s most influential revolutionary leaders walked into a meeting and never came out alive. His name was Thomas Sankara. He was only 37 years old. Sankara had come to the Conseil de l’Entente headquarters for a meeting with members of his team. It was supposed to be an ordinary meeting, but outside, armed men were already moving against him. Then came the gunfire. Sankara’s driver and bodyguards were killed. Inside the building, the people gathered for the meeting heard the shooting and realised something terrible was happening. According to the testimony of the sole survivor, Alouna Traoré, Sankara rose and told his colleagues: “Stay there! It’s me they want.” He walked towards the door. Before he could get far, the gunmen shot him dead. They then killed the people who had gathered with him. Twelve of his companions died alongside the Burkinabè leader. Alouna Traoré survived the massacre and later told the world what happened. But here is the part that makes this story even more painful. The man who would take power after Sankara’s death was Blaise Compaoré, his former comrade and close political ally. The two men had been part of the military leadership that brought about the revolution in 1983. Sankara became president, while Compaoré remained one of the most powerful figures around him. Yet, four years later, their partnership ended in bloodshed. After Sankara’s assassination, Compaoré took power and ruled Burkina Faso for 27 years, until a popular uprising forced him from office in 2014. For decades, Sankara’s family and supporters demanded justice. Then, in April 2022, a military court in Burkina Faso sentenced Compaoré to life imprisonment in absentia for his role in Sankara’s murder. Several other defendants were also convicted. Think about that for a moment. A young president who spoke about African independence, challenged foreign domination and called for a different future for his people was killed by men linked to the political and military circle around him. Sankara was not without controversy. His government was revolutionary, but it was also criticised for restricting political freedoms. His story deserves to be examined honestly, including both his ambitions and the consequences of his rule. But one fact remains: on October 15, 1987, his life was cut short by assassination, and Burkina Faso entered a new political chapter. A REVOLUTIONARY WAS KILLED. HIS COMRADE TOOK POWER. JUSTICE TOOK DECADES. Thomas Sankara’s story reminds us that the history of Africa is not only about the men who ruled. It is also about the ideas they left behind, the people who suffered, and the questions that remain long after the gunfire has stopped.
