The biggest barrier to being productive are the small distractions of all sorts. People who drop by, emails that pop up and need immediate attention. The more I can block those things out, the more productive I am. @meier_steph #workspacestudio
My main workspace nowadays is an old wooden worktable with paintbrushes in vintage coffee cans and a rainbow of paint jars. That’s in our apartment, which is on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. It has plenty of light, which is nice. @susanhmeier #workspacestudio

I was not super happy at first about moving this far out from the city. I was commuting to the studio, which is south of San Francisco, and the traffic was getting to me. And then COVID hit, and we were home and spending all this time in our house. #workspacestudio
