📲 | Juanjo has changed his profile picture on ig Note: It's the photo of a "Giant", a traditional, papier-mâché and wood figure which is part of the "Gigantes y cabezudos" tradition (literally "giants and big-heads"). In many Aragonese towns (and other regions in Spain) these figures typically parade through the streets during local festivities. There is a person inside who carries it and they often represent historical figures, royalty or local archetypes. This particular figure is one of the five giants that belong to Magallón. It represents a shoemaker. 🔗 Source: cesbor.blogspot.com/2017/09/…

📲 | Juanjo via ig stories answering questions (part 4) 💬 Are you scared for the new release after more than a year without releasing solo music? J: There's always fear and constant uncertainty... the trust in the music I make is the driving force that puts my mind at ease, but there are obviously bad days when I don't know what will happen... you also can't explain all the things that are behind making a song and an album, but there are always many things that keep delaying it and it's frustrating but exciting... I won't deny that I partly enjoy living in a hectic pace and not knowing what will happen but at the same time that's what makes me go crazy 💬 Which color represents the new project? J: 🏳️‍🌈

📲 | Juanjo via ig stories answering questions (part 3) 💬 What emotions does the next song convey? J: [Photos] 💬 Which part of your new music project did you enjoy the most so far? J: Being able to spend time with amazing people writing and recording in different houses/ studios in the mountains, places where I get inspired and we're truly free and happy 💬 What makes this secomd album different from the first one? J: Less bandurria (traditional instrument similar to guitar), more synths. There are no phases, I'd say the songs are organized the way my heart wanted to. More variety of styles and topics... 💬 Which people from your everyday life inspire you? J: [Video]

📲 | Juanjo via ig stories answering questions (part 2) 💬 Any instrument that wasn't in recardelino and will be in jb2? J: 🎺 💬 Were you able to enjoy Pilar festivities? J: Absolutely yes! And many thanks to @.beltran.indumentaria for dressing me with this dream of an outfit 💬 What do you like the most about working with Marcel and David? J: Their absolute dedication, everything you can learn (from them), their infinite references of music from all over the world, hours searching for sounds that may never appear, days and months dedicated to finding the sound of a chorus or going crazy to make each song unique... it's insane watching them in action 💬 Give us some hints about the next single J: 140726

📲 | Juanjo via ig stories answering questions (part 1) J: Ask me a question 💬 Will we know anything about your new era by November or December? J: YES 💬 Which song or lyrics took the longest to write? J: The first jb2 song that will be released is the hardest one so far 💬 Which songs or albums inspired you to make the new album? • Gigantes y Cabezudos (traditional Zarzuela piece) • Carmen París - Pa' mi genio • Milo J - La Vida Era Más Corta • Sufjan Stevens - Carrie & Lowell And many more, I wouldn't be able to show them all

🎥 | Juanjo was mentioned by María Terremoto when talking about their collab "Indomable" (via @palaozzz on ig) 👤: We have to mention Juanjo Bona, who you released a song with. What was it like working together? Can we expect more collaborations with other artists? María: That’s the idea, yes. I like finding the right moment and figuring out what to do with each person. And with Juanjo I found the right moment and figured out what we could do together. And from then on Juanjo became part of my heart because he’s just the sweetest, he’s absolutely brilliant, he’s such an amazing artist and he’s so smart for someone so young. I absolutely adore my Juanjo and I’m so happy and so grateful that he wanted to collaborate with me on that song 🔗 Full video: instagram.com/reel/Deo1PGWtO…

🎥 | Martin on @elcorteingles's reel talking about his favorite finds M: Hello, I am Martin and this is my "Selected by" for El Corte Inglés Cultura. We have some pretty iconic Manley wax crayons here. I think they’re another really good way to express emotions, and it’s true that my album also draws a lot of inspiration from this kind of more childlike drawing style, with wax crayons and colors and all that. Then we also have this little mini radio here, which I spotted and just couldn’t leave behind, because I actually gave this exact same one to one of my best friends. She always remembers that gift because it works really well. I remember she called me to tell me how happy she was with it, how much she loved it and how the antenna extended really really high. I’ve come across this little book: "Little Book of Nature: Cetaceans, Whales, Dolphins and Porpoises". I’ve loved the sea ever since I was little obviously, and I’ve always said that. I’m from Getxo, Bilbao, so the sea has always been very close to me. And, well, it’s actually a really beautiful little book. It has pictures in it. Okay, this little camera, the Quick Snap. I’ve been taking photos for as long as I can remember so I couldn’t not pick a camera. When I was 18, which was a pretty significant age for me, my friends and I used to make plans to grab a camera and wander around Bilbao taking pictures. And it’s true that ever since then, photography has become a big part of my life and my everyday routine. There’s something more special about the experience of taking photos with a camera. I’ve found this cassette tape. I’ve never owned any cassette tapes in my life but I thought this one was really beautiful. Here we have an album. Well, there are two actually. I picked up the second one because I came across it and just had to take it. The first one is "Demon Days" by Gorillaz and the second one is my own album, "La Insolación". I found it and thought I should bring this one along, right? "Demon Days" is an album I discovered when I was 16, and it’s true that discovering Gorillaz helped me evolve from that musical phase I was in at 14 or 15, when I was listening to mainstream pop, to suddenly discovering a different sound that was a little more electronic and more band-oriented. And when I was creating "La Insolación" I revisited this album a lot because of its electronic sound, but also because of Gorillaz’s visual style, which is such a distinctive part of their identity. And finally we have "Nada" by Carmen Laforet. I read (the novel) while preparing for the university entrance exams and it actually opened the door for me to read "La Insolación" afterwards. It’s a beautiful book. I think a lot of people have read it and a lot of people remember it fondly. And well, I really love Carmen Laforet. I love the way she writes. I wish she had many more works for me to explore. So, that’s my selection for El Corte Inglés Cultura! I hope you enjoyed it and found my little explanation of each item interesting. 🔗 instagram.com/reel/DeoGM-XTL…

It's become a popular sound on tiktok lately. Here's the translation: "The very least you can do if they're about to slit your throat is say, 'no please'. Of course, you have to say something. An actress has to say whatever comes from inside her. You can't just say nothing. You tell me how I, as a member of a satanic cult, am supposed to perform a sacrifice without saying a word, Luisa, you tell me" 🔗 vm.tiktok.com/ZGdCPNyWM/

🎥 | Juanjo's interview at the Flower Offering of the Pilar festivities in Zaragoza (via @periodicoaragon) J: To everyone enjoying the festivities, sending you a huge kiss, have an amazing time, enjoy yourselves, laugh and be respectful, and long live the Pilar festivities, the best festivities in Spain! It’s been many years since I last came and being back today makes me so happy, I’m really excited. And being here with all my friends makes it such a beautiful and emotional day and it hasn’t even started yet, so… For me, taking part in the Offering, being part of this day and all of us dressing up in traditional Aragonese outfits is really special. I come from the world of jota and I’ve worn this outfit my whole life. Well, not this exact one, but every time I put it on I remember all those years when all I did was sing jotas and go to competitions. So I’m really happy today Note: Every year on October 12, Zaragoza celebrates the day of its patron, the Virgin of the Pilar, with a big parade and flower offering around the statue of the Virgin 🔗 instagram.com/reel/DeY9AP0KR…
