Kila alfajiri, wanapokwenda baharini kupanda na kuvuna mwani, wanabeba zaidi ya kamba na mifuko ya kuvuna mwani. Wanabeba ndoto za watoto wao, matumaini ya familia zao, na mustakabali wa jamii nzima.
Kupitia miradi tunayotekeleza ambayo ni SESEP na JPRWEE, tunasimama bega kwa bega na wanawake hawa jasiri. Kwa mafunzo, kuwatafutia masoko na hata kuwapatia vifaa, tunawasaidia kugeuza jasho lao kuwa kipato cha uhakika.

Zanzibar Maisha Bora Foundation (ZMBF), kupitia Afisa wa Jinsia na Huduma za Afya, Bi. Hadija Kibamba, ilishiriki katika kilele cha Maadhimisho ya Siku ya Mtoto wa Kike Duniani, yaliyofanyika tarehe 11 Oktoba 2026, katika Ukumbi wa Wazee Sebleni, Zanzibar.
Maadhimisho hayo yalisisitiza umuhimu wa kulinda haki za mtoto wa kike, kumwezesha kupata elimu, kuishi katika mazingira salama na kushiriki katika maamuzi yanayohusu maisha na mustakabali wake.
ZMBF inaendelea kuunga mkono juhudi za kutokomeza ndoa za utotoni, ukatili, ubaguzi na unyanyasaji wa watoto wa kike, huku ikihamasisha jamii kujenga mazingira yenye usawa, usalama na fursa sawa kwa kila mtoto wa kike.

Recently during COP 12, ZMBF, in collaboration with the Ministry of Blue Economy and the Seaweed Sector, took Zanzibar's seaweed story to the global stage.
We are proving that social enterprise and environmental protection can grow side by side, and that the blue economy can be inclusive when investment reaches the people at the shoreline.
Our message at COP 12 was clear: Zanzibar offers a model worth investing in, learning from and replicating.

As we celebrate International Day of the Girl Child, we are reminded of the importance of empowering every girl to recognize her potential, build confidence, and pursue her dreams without limitations.
They have also received Tumaini Kits containing reusable menstrual pads, helping them continue their education with confidence and overcome challenges associated with menstruation.
We believe that empowering girls today is an investment in tomorrow's leadership, well-being, and sustainable development. An educated, healthy, and confident girl has the power to inspire positive change in her community and contribute to building a better Tanzania.

Today, 10 October, the world marks World Mental Health Day, a day to reflect and take action on the importance of mental health for everyone.
ZMBF continues to support efforts to promote mental health through its various programs, such as the Afya Bora, Maisha Bora Medical Camps and the Tumaini Initiative, which have been providing education, counseling, and medical services related to mental health.
Through these programs, ZMBF aims to build a community that is understanding, compassionate, and supportive of people facing mental health challenges, while also eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health.
