Cory is the staunchest defender of authors' interests against the content industry's corporate behemoths.
His kickstarter is raising funds for his audio book in resistance to Audible (aka Amazon)'s iron grip on the industry — support him+get copies of his next book!
*Red Team Blues* is my next novel, a #PostCyberpunk anti-finance finance #thriller; it's a major title for my publishers @TorBooks and @HoZ_Books, and it's swept the trade press with starred reviews all 'round. Despite all that, #Audible will not sell the #audiobook. 1/

Had a great time at the @KERNEL0x Fireside chat last week. Shared my thoughts alongside @brewster_kahle on the @GETDWeb work and what it means to meaningfully "take back the web" youtube.com/watch?v=1dI2QeWX… (I joined late -- you'll find me at around 45:00)
excellent thread on the history of fraught interracial relations in LA + how it was very much a product of white supremacist economic oppression through “divide and conquer” tactics
very into the revamped @HyphaCoop web site.
Besides being a lot more clear about what we do, it's beautiful and that much ~ shoomier ~
New week, new website. Hypha.coop got a refresh! At last, more info on our work and who we are. Thanks to Adrian Kiva for his work on this over the summer.

The web of the '90s and early '00s has inspired many nostalgic projects, but it's not just the aesthetics that people miss. This week, we take a look at the efforts to build a new, open, decentralized web.

Really appreciate how this new article by @kait_tiffany maps the ideological differences, similarities, and linkages between DWeb and Web3.
Also stoked to see @DigiDem @COMPOSTmag @dwebpress mentioned as examples of what DWeb is about. :)

community mesh network projects in the global south are doing more as "emerging tech" than any start-up venture ever will. we don't need progress we need foundational shifts in worldview

On Episode 002 of What’s At Stake, we sat down with @joshuaztan of @metagov_project. We talked about what it means to build a governance layer for the internet, stakeholder politics on proof-of-stake blockchains, and how validators are like politicians. youtube.com/watch?v=qWtXrRSg…
