PM @narendramodi will participate in the centenary celebrations of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) tomorrow in Delhi Before becoming PM, he visited the college in 2013 as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He shared an interesting story about a metro coach factory during his visit. The vision of speed and scale was there even then. It is still there today.

One major consequence of the on-and-off US-Iran war is the emergence of new alliance blocks, as countries in the Persian Gulf conclude that they must make additional arrangements to ensure their security and deal with the dangers posed by a potentially more aggressive Iran and its proxies. They are not abandoning the existing alliances with the US, but the new alliance groups are a reflection of uncertainty and a hedge against the possibility that going forward, the US might not be willing or able to deal effectively with the emerging challenges. Two new alliances have already been formed: one with a formal announcement committing #Saudi Arabia, #Turkiye and #Pakistan; the other with no formal announcement between #UAE, #Israel and #India. Each of these countries have important and relevant assets. But whether these alliances will be effective and will not just further complicate the region's rivalries remains to be seen. One thing is clear already: the pre-Iran war security architecture is in a state of reconfiguration. #Qatar #Oman #Kuwait #Iraq #Kurdistan @Potus @secstate @SecWar @Nato @EU #Japan #ROC @GCCSG

#WATCH | Delhi: The grand premiere of Netflix's highly anticipated military drama, Operation Safed Sagar: The Untold Story Of The Kargil War, was held at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Speaking at the occasion, Indian Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh says, "...I would like to first thank Netflix for such a wonderful series that they have conceived and put together. I think the first episode itself tells us what is going to come in the remaining ones. My personal take on this is I think this is very close to reality what you saw. Yes, there will be a little bit of dramatics in cinema but the way it has been portrayed, the pre-war days at least, they come out quite realistic and took us back to... our old days in the squadron and how things went... indeed, Kargil was a turning point for not only just the Indian Air Force, but the air forces around the world when never before had we done such a thing... to make a series like this, I think this is what is going to make it reach the common man. And I'm sure not only just in India, but around the world, the entire Indian community, whenever they watch this, they'll be very proud of the Indian Air Force and the Indian defense forces..."

The Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi: "Egypt charges hundreds of thousands of dollars for every passage through the Suez Canal, with fees exceeding one million dollars for large container ships and tankers. Turkey imposes transit fees for vessels passing through the Bosphorus Strait. Canada charges fees for the St. Lawrence Seaway. Panama collects hundreds of thousands of dollars per transit, reaching up to 500,000 dollars for large Neo-Panamax vessels. The United States also charges fees related to the St. Lawrence Seaway. Yet when Iran keeps the Strait of Hormuz open for free passage for decades, without imposing any transit fees, despite facing sanctions, isolation, and relentless accusations, it is portrayed as the problem. Isn’t it hypocritical to condemn Iran while ignoring the fact that many other countries profit from controlling vital waterways? And you still expect me to believe that Iran is the ‘bad guy’ here?"

As shared many times before … India”s biggest export will be its semi skilled and able bodied people. Get some skill ( and for gods sake don’t waste time of 4 year white collar degree) and get ready for a world of opportunities beyond India”s border… Outside of western countries Taiwan, South Korea and even China are in similar situation .. both Taiwan and South Korea will open more immigration pathways for Indians ( not china). I forgot Russia and Ukraine .. both have massive resources and dead young people. As soon as the war is over, you will see huge demand for Indian blue collar and of course lucrative offers to join their military. Canada announced its first military pathway related PR yesterday.

Meet Jayshree Ullal, the highest ranked Indian origin executive on Forbes' rich list, ahead of names like Sundar Pichai and Satya Nadella. Born in London and raised in New Delhi, she trained as an electrical engineer at San Francisco State before spending over 15 years at Cisco, eventually running its data center and switching business worth $10 billion. In 2008, she walked away from that entire empire to become CEO of Arista Networks, a startup with fewer than 50 people and $0 in revenue. She bet on cloud networking before most people even understood what a data center was. Arista went public in 2014, and today it does close to $9 billion in annual revenue building the high speed switches that power AI infrastructure for hyperscalers like Microsoft and Meta. Her stake in that "risky" startup is now worth an estimated $5.7 to $6.8 billion. Everyone chasing the apps forgot somebody still has to build the plumbing underneath.

Given Trump's propensity to abandon his own commitments, any agreement with his administration comes with an uncertain shelf life. It may survive for weeks, days or even mere hours. Just hours after Washington announced a 123 agreement with Saudi Arabia to advance its planned civilian nuclear energy program, Trump cast the deal into doubt by adding a new condition: Saudi Arabia must first establish diplomatic relations with Israel. He did much the same with Iran, signing an MOU at Versailles on June 17 with great fanfare before effectively shredding it less than three weeks later by resuming airstrikes.

Panama collects between $100,000 and $450,000 per passage, reaching $500,000 for large Neopanamax ships. The United States charges fees for the St. Lawrence Seaway. Yet Iran has refused for decades to charge any transit fees for the Strait of Hormuz, making passages completely free!
