Both receipts are fake. UK shelf prices include VAT; it isn’t added at checkout. All listed foods are zero-rated, so none would incur VAT. The “1990” receipt also uses Tesco branding introduced in 1995.

INEOS so far:
• Spent 2 years chasing Dan Ashworth, only to eventually sack him.
• At the end of the season, they conducted an assessment and decided sacking Ten Hag was the best decision for the club.
• Ten Hag wins the FA Cup, and suddenly they change their minds and keep him, only to sack him halfway through the following season anyway.
• They then claimed they had conducted another thorough assessment and concluded Ruben Amorim was the best man for the job.
• Amorim had made it clear from day one that he would play a back three and wouldn't change his system. INEOS agreed and backed the appointment.
• Dan Ashworth reportedly disagreed with the Amorim decision and was subsequently sacked.
• A few months later, INEOS sack Amorim, essentially because he wouldn't abandon the system they knew he was going to play when they hired him.
• They then told fans they would use the remaining six months of the season to find the right, competent manager.
• Six months passed. They did nothing and eventually appointed the interim manager they had already chosen, claiming he was the suitable candidate.
• Now it's August, and that "suitable candidate" has a net spend of around £40m. They aren't even properly backing the manager they supposedly concluded was the best man for the job.
Make of this what you will. #mufc

Andy Burnham wasn’t part of the Labour government at the last general election.
He was not elected to any national position whatsoever.
Now he’s going to become the Prime Minister without anyone even voting on it?
And they call that a democracy?
The UK is an Islamic joke…

The BBC Doesn’t Want Viewers — It Wants Hostages
So let me get this straight.
I pay Netflix for Netflix.
I pay YouTube for YouTube.
I do not watch the BBC.
And yet the BBC still thinks it has a divine right to rummage around in my wallet?
This isn’t public service broadcasting anymore.
It’s institutional arrogance wrapped in nostalgia.
The licence fee was built for an age of three channels, static screens and enforced national attention.
That world is dead. Buried. Gone.
Instead of competing like everyone else, the BBC’s response to losing relevance is essentially:
👉 “If people won’t choose us, we’ll force them.”
Charging people because they watch Netflix or YouTube isn’t modernisation —
it’s a state-backed shakedown.
And what really grates?
The moral superiority.
This organisation still talks down to the public like it’s the nation’s conscience, while repeatedly failing to get its own house in order.
Maybe before demanding more compulsory cash, it should stop posturing as the moral compass of Britain and start asking some very hard questions about itself.
How many scandals does it take?
How many internal failures quietly managed, minimised, or brushed aside?
How many times does the public have to be told “lessons have been learned” before trust is completely gone?
You don’t get to lecture the country, alienate huge swathes of the audience, pump out bias, repeats and self-regard…
…and then demand payment from people who’ve actively walked away.
That’s not public service.
That’s monopoly thinking on life support.
Imagine Tesco billing you because you shopped at Aldi.
Imagine Spotify invoicing you because you bought a CD.
You’d call it insane — because it is.
If the BBC’s content is good, people will pay voluntarily.
If they won’t, you don’t get to threaten, guilt-trip, or criminalise them for refusing.
The future is choice.
The BBC hates choice — because choice exposes irrelevance.
No more reverence.
No more compulsory funding.
No more pretending this is about anything other than control.

This takes Liverpool’s spending this summer to app. €530m/£461m. That is 2x of Manchester United’s record spending during a window.
I have been criticized for being too critical of Ineos and the Glazers. This is what — really — genuinely scares me. I knew this type of spending was coming. And these clubs can keep spending next summer, every summer. Since they sign top talents, they will be able to sell some of these guys for a profit.
If United has a poor 25/26 — we will be in a very tough situation next summer. Our debt is increasing every year. Our cash pool is drying up. The wage cost of Manchester United’s squad is — factually much less than HALF of City and Liverpool.
When Ineos came in, Manchester United had been in a dire and desperate need of a big investment in the squad.
But the pundits like Neville and co had been fooled by rivals pundits that United actually had invested a lot under the Glazers (City outspent us 5:1 the years before Fergie went, and then when we were in a desperate need to rebuild a whole squad whole City, Chelsea and co had loaded squads — we still spent much less than they did from 2013 to today). So Ineos was told to just get in smart people and things were alright.
So Ineos did just that. I think Ineos is good people, and they did what everyone told that they should.
But nobody had track of (1) just how much the Glazers had underinvested in the squad, (2) just how much the new CL would improve rivals income, (3) the multiples our rivals could get from buying talents and selling them for higher fees, and (4) how hard it would be to get ‘the smartest people in the business’ through the door (it’s probably a faulty concept, but that is for another post).
We have a chance to catch up today, that ship hasn’t sailed yet. It could still not have left port next summer. But take my word for it — 100% — it’s sailing soon. And at that point it will be as easy to catch up with Liverpool and City as it was for the manager of Nottingham or Villa to catch up Fergie in the 00’s.
But what does that mean? It’s when paying a player 250k/w is a big investment for us, while Liverpool can go ‘here is 750k/w, let us know what you decide’.
I called this two years ago, said that if we didn’t invest in the squad back then and missed the CL — Liverpool and City will have wage bills twice as big as ours. Now we are there. With player sales, they can make up towards 1-1.1bn in revenue. We are stuck at 600m.
It’s going to become 3x in a hurry.
🚨💥 Marc Guehi to Liverpool - DONE DEAL ✔️

PUTIN WAS ALLOWED TO SPEAK ON CROATIA TV.
What did he say?
He addressed the Europeans: "Russia has never been and will never be your enemy!
We do not want European raw materials and wealth, we have our own raw materials and wealth, we absolutely do not need your raw materials. Russia is the richest country in the world in terms of raw materials.
We do not want your land or your territory. Look at how wide Russia is on the map. Russia is twice the size of the whole of Europe in one place. What would we need your land for, what do we do with it?
Why do you think Russia is an enemy of Europe? What damage has Russia done to you?
Have we sold you gas and raw materials at lower prices than the prices at which your "friends" are currently selling you? YES
Did Russia sacrifice 20 million people in World War II to get rid of the Nazis? YES
Was Russia the first country to help Europe during the Covid pandemic? YES
Did we help Europe when there were fires and natural disasters? YES
What has Russia done to you that you hate it so much?
Russia is not your enemy; your real enemies are your leaders, those who lead you!”
