Grady is sleeping that deep sleep that only comes to those who have barked the whole house awake half an hour before they had to get up.
As I’ve been buying and selling clothes I’ve become much more fashion-aware. And Ive become aware that I spend 75% of my time dressed like Kurt Cobain. I’m not really sorry
This morning Grady’s bed contains his blanket, a few toys, a pair of my socks, a dish cloth, and a placemat that was clean and in a drawer yesterday. We never know what we will find in his collection. I traded the socks, mat, and cloth for a bone.
We met another family wearing N95s at Sommo Festival (it was outdoors but we masked up once it got crowded) and they came right up to us and made friends!! It was kind of cool to befriend the others maskers.
I’m checking out of a cottage this morning.
I doubt it’s ever been cleaner.
I have become my parents.
My latest Poshmark transactions included selling too-big L.L.Bean pajamas and my formerly favorite swimsuit. I bought a stunning vintage Ralph Lauren leather bag and replacement swimsuit for almost free and hiking/traveling pants that are always sold out in my size. So yay.
FYI, apparently if you want to try Poshmark, if you use my referral code, you get $15 off your first order, and I get brownie points for recruiting. My code is AERRYN19. No pressure.
I love Poshmark for the choice of plus sizes and quality vintage but you can find everything.
My kids are finished so I’m not affected, but I still think it’s gross that school is starting before Labour Day.
I just had the first person ever try to pressure me to remove my N95 in public.
It was a nurse. In a healthcare facility. Who just thought it was unnecessary. Even after I explained that avoiding viruses keeps me off multiple courses of steroids.
I can’t even.
I have purchased pants for Sommo festival that I hope will be less awful when soaking wet than my jeans were last year. The forecast is looking questionable again.
Last year at Sommofest, I got wetter and colder than I think I had ever been before. Well, the forecast for this year just dropped and it’s clouds, wind and showers all day.
At least I have upgraded our gear since last year
Our car with the litany of error codes has been restored to full function for $560. I really think we found a magical garage that exists outside the realm of reality.
In Poshmark news, no one is buying my absolutely favorite thing on my site…a grey striped sweater with a pop of fuschia trim. Demonstrating to me again that my taste is not quite everyone’s taste.
The dog is sitting with his ears at attention and his back to me because I have apparently misallocated a donut. Going forward, the dog will receive more than 2 chunks of each donut apparently.
I had big dreams of the beach and maybe even a surfing lesson as soon as I finished exams.
The literal minute I hit send on the last exam, HRM started closing beaches due to bacterial counts. I doubt the open ones are much better so now I’m just grossed out and at home
So I took the car in because it had a dashboard light on. Google suggested it was a legit light so I went promptly. I have now been handed a laundry list of complaints the car apparently has. We are booking a 3 hour diagnostic. Crap. It’s a really good garage btw.
