CPI inflation up to 4.2 percent and RPI at 6 percent. Factory gate prices rising at 8pc and input prices rising at 13pc, suggesting the current inflation surge still has further to run and the peak is likely to be around 5-6 percent early next year.

No I have never needed to as have always been able to find a seat in the past. Over the past few months it has become very common for the trains to be full and standing. Often due to there only being 5 new style carriages or 7 old style carriages. Very frustrating!
